    Within 3 days of plugging my controller into the xbox the micro hdmi input began to wabble and now shuts off the controller if I move it. The only wired controller I can find is the mini one for children which will not fit my hands.

    Microsoft Xbox 360 Wired Controller really requires batteries?

    I'm considering buying the "Microsoft Xbox 360 Wired Controller for Windows & Xbox 360 Console" but the description on Amazon.com says that this wired controller requires two AA batteries. Is this true?! The wired controller needs batteries?!

    Hi,

    There is no driver to download for the 360 controller on Windows 10, because the driver is already installed as part of the OS.

    There are two likely reasons why your controller isn't being detected. It's either because your controller isn't a true wired controller or you've plugged it into a USB 1 port.

    If your controller is wireless please note that you can not turn it into a wired controller with a Play & Charge. It will always be wireless and therefore will not be detected. To use a wireless controller on Windows you will need a gaming wireless receiver.
    Otherwise, you will need a 360 wired controller.

    There already is...the existing controllers become true wired controllers when plugged in. You just a need a USB to mini USB cable.

    It plugs into the controller, so not true wireless.....IMO true wireless means no wires whatsoever.

    Wired, since I have changed to a wired connection my game play has improved.

    This is true for both controllers and internet connection!

    I don't think Microsoft will create one, or has a true need to with it's capabilities to do what they have provided. However if you do a google search for "Xbox One Mini wired controller" you'll find an "off name" brand makes a wired controller for the Xbox
    One that may suffice until Xbox realizes a demand for the product!
