i need a new hdd. mines full.

i have an xbox 360 slim console. its the one also with the touch sensors.

xbox's websiote said this:

"you can buy and use a 250gb or 500gb harddrive". . "you can plug a transfer cable into the curent hdd in the xbox and move the storage to a usb flash drive.". and "use either the current type of hdd that fits into the slot of the xbox or use a usb
flash drive".

arent they so stupid?

i want to buy a second xbox hdd and use it. but how do i use my 1st hdd i filled up? i need them both at same time.

i had 2 desktop PC internal hdd's attached to my xbox but 1 died about 8 hours ago.

Having Hard drive issues but its not the hard drive thats the issue...

Going through a similar problem. You can try clearing the cache but it sounds like your HDD pooped out. You probably need a new one, but SHOULD be able to at least transfer your data.

Mine still shows that it its 2/3 full, but I cannot access any of it even when I try to transfer...

 

500GB Xbox 360 HDD?

We should have a Hdd with at least 500 GB. Mine is full, and I dont have any instaled games at all on my 320 GB Hdd.

Might *** well have a couple of TB right away is my opinion. That the new Xbox One is coming with 500 Gb is not good enough!!

 

You would have to switch the hdds in order to use them both. You can't have both attached at the same time.

 

You buy the bigger hard drive. Move the data on the filled one onto that. Sell the old hard drive and use the money to buy a 32gb USB drive for a back-up.

That's be my suggestion anyway.
