I migrated to Minecraft and can't sign in now

Hi there Finned welcome to the community forum! Christopher here, an Xbox fan just like you and has been on Xbox for years already. I would really love to make your day by helping you out. Please double-check you are logging in to the same Microsoft account you used to migrate your Mojang account.

Make sure you are not logging in with your Mojang account. Migrated accounts will only be able to log in with your Microsoft account.

If you forgot which email you used to create your Microsoft account for migration you will need to speak with Microsoft support to recover the email address used to sign-up.

You may not have completed your migration, please go to your Mojang account profile page and start the migration again. https://www.minecraft.net/en-us/profile

Ok I found it, from the launcher at login, because you have used it to login before it's trying to login with your mojang account, you have to select back and then add to add your Microsoft account and log in that way

I had a gmail account for playing Minecraft Java edition but right after I did this, I can't sign in. I tried using both my old gmail and then my hotmail account and even used the original password I had before I migrated and the ne to sign in for my hotmail account but neither one works, Can someone help me with this?

I literally just did the same thing, changed my password as well to see if that'd help (it didn't), I did come across this https://support.xbox.com/en-NZ/xbox-live-status and found that it looks like some of the services are limited.

Not actually sure if this actually affects Minecraft sign in or not though.

so there is no way I can't access my migrated minecraft account (I don't remember the email that was created when the account was migrated, only the original email used for the creation of the minecraft account)?

Absolutely, AdenBoyer. Along with the migration, we will now use the Microsoft login moving further. Just make sure that you're signed in using the Microsoft account that you used in migrating.

Kindly check on Microsoft Store or Xbox App "Minecraft Launcher" then install it from there.
