I love Game Pass & MS Rewards, but the reduction in points for quests needs to be rolled back

See title. Instead of 2 daily quests (play a Game Pass game & launch Game Pass mobile app) worth 5 pts each, we now only have 1 daily quest for playing a game worth 3 points. That's approximately 300 points down to 90 with just that change, but there's been a significant reduction in weekly (there are only 4 now down from around 8 I believe) and monthly (not even sure the of totals here, but there are definitely far fewer available). I get that's it's a bonus program and MS isn't required to provide extra opportunities for points at all, but the monthly point reduction is large enough that it's honestly not worth the time to even participate on the Game Pass portion of MS Rewards. I love Game Pass and the Xbox brand, and I really think the ability to occasionally earn a free month here and there by playing games and making sure to complete the quests is an amazing feature that shouldn't be gutted like this. It's the type of thing that a person trying out Game Pass might decide to stick around for. I know I did, it's one of the main reasons that the Xbox app/Game Pass is my main PC gaming platform now! I really hope MS decides to change course here. I've managed to get a few of my friends onto the Xbox/Game Pass platform by explaining how they can earn rewards like gift cards or even free months of Game Pass just by playing, and I'm sure I'm not alone. This isn't a complaint post, like I said, I love MS & their products, especially Xbox/Game Pass. I just don't want to see them make a mistake like this that's going to lead to less user engagement. And before anyone thinks I'm upset that it's harder to earn free Game Pass, I'm paid up and subscribed for the next 2+ years (like I said, I love Xbox)! Also a proud Xbox ambassador. MS won me over years ago with their beautiful adaptive controller introduction. I don't want to get too personal, but I had a family member who was only able to play games because MS cared enough to create the tech that allowed him to. I highly doubt it was profitable, but they still made it because people in the company truly cared about being inclusive of disabled people. They didn't just talk about it. It's wonderful, and I have been loyal ever since. No other video company has made anything like it that I know of., and because of that controller, I was able to make beautiful memories. But I digress.

I'm being genuine here. I think reducing the earnable points is a big mistake. Thank you to anyone who takes the time to read this, I hope it doesn't come off as rude or entitled, as that is not what I intended at all. MS won me over when they introduced Now if you'll excuse me, I have some Warhammer on Game Pass calling my name. Take care everyone!

Yes, I agree reward points for game pass have vastly reduced and makes me less motivated to attempt them.

Over the years the Rewards have encouraged me to try games I normally would dismiss. Admittedly sometimes Ive just played enough for the points but several times I've enjoyed them so much I've played them to the end. Surely this is the objective of thhe scheme?

When I saw I earned 3 Points for logging into the Gamepass app I thought it was a prank. Than playing a Gamepass title I earned yep 3 points. They may as well remove both if they reduced the points. What’s next 1 point? Yes, 4 less points a day big deal but at least post a notice. Second to say this was done because of more members is just a joke. If that is truly the reason what’s next? They remove rewards altogether? Not a fan but I guess I’m a complainer 😱

Given the increasing number of people using Game Pass, I'd imagine it was inevitable that they would change the rewards. Personally, having only been doing Rewards since August 2020, I have always been amazed that they give away so many free points every month...in the 9 months before buying a Series X on All Access (and it's included Game Pass), I actually only paid for Game Pass one month as I got the other 8 months for free from Rewards points

I can't remember what quests there were versus normal but you still should be able to earn a good chunk of points....I imagine the difference over a month is maybe 500 points? Maybe 1,000? Which equates to $1 or so. I usualy earn around 12,000 points a month give or take over what I can do on my Xbox and what I can do on a PC....maybe those who earn less will notice more I guess.

Yep, would have been nice. I wasn't around prior to 2020 so I wonder if they have simply gone back to pre-pandemic levels, as they changed it in early 2020?

They did something similar last year & it lasted a month,they reverted it back to the old amounts so hopefully they'll do the same again.
