    Hello, so today i came home from work, super excited about Destiny 2’s new season release. I turn on my xbox, and go and let my dog out. When i come back in, i see there is an update for destiny 2, which was expected. So i begin to update the game. I sat
    in my chair and observed the progress of the update bar, it never left zero percent. For 15 minutes. Nothing. So i attempt to click the cancel update button, nothing happened for about 1.5 to 2 minutes, and suddnly an error message pops up, directing me to
    restart the console, no problem there.

    However, once the console booted back up, and has loading into the main console screen, I attempt to reactivate the Destiny 2 update, only to find that its no longer there. I found it in the main video game library, while trying to maintain my nerves, i
    also see my digital copy of the division 2 had also been removed from playable content. Seriously! ****. The only two games that i play alot, i now have to reinstall 225gig.

    An explantation would be nice, please and thank you!

    Exactly, when you stop an update, the game uninstalls, what's strange is the second game that is uninstalled at the same time

    When an update is canceled the console deletes the game completely.
    I agree with you that re-installing the game and in addition to such capacity is stressful.

    Hello

    Is the game installed on the console or on an external hard drive?

    Did you try to empty the cache?

    For an Xbox One remains pressed the ignition button on the front of your console for 10 seconds, wait 30 seconds, restart the console.

    Im just venting now but, ive been an Xbox follower since i saw the first Halo trailer debut. Ive always kept current with the consoles. Ever since the digital age, i enjoy buying digital copies to free up a space in the book shelf.

    i dont know, im not too happy right now, through no fault of my own i guess. A warning message, and a long button press to stop the update, would be awesome.

    I have never had that happen before. Typically your average game update/patch goes pretty quick.

    The games that were lost, were stored on the xbox one X’s hard drive. Once i realized that I now have to complete a full install, i ordered an external SSD.

    i mean is that normal? For a console to erase a game if an update or console related issue is faulty? I thought they would have some kind fail safes for that.
