    I'm an American living in Ecuador, and I'm currently in the states visiting. I am wondering if an Xbox One will connect in Ecuador if I get one. I had an Xbox 360 and it connected fine.

    In truth, I only care about being able to play video games online with my friends. I care nothing about TV channels, etc.

    If anyone can answer my question, please let me know.

    Changing the homecountry

    We moved from Switzerland to Ecuador. Now I wanted to buy points with my suisse credit card for my suisse xbox live account, sitting in Ecuador. This was not possible, I checked my card, which is fine. So I changed my xbox live account to ecuador. Now
    everything is in spanish and I can not change the language so I could understand the site and the site is not giving me much choice neither the view on the tv for xbox. I can not buy points and it looks like in Ecuador there is very little support. But I don't
    want to wait three months until I can change back the country in the system and continue playing oder understanding. I see two possibilities: I deliete my whole account and clear my xbox and open a new one - how can I delete my account and my xbox registration.
    Can I open a new Suisse account when I am located in Ecuador? I am desperated thinking I am not the only one that moves around in the world and wants to play on xbox.

    I can see no reason why you shouldnt be able too. You might have to set the country to something other than Ecuador to get services to show up, but other than that, it should work fine.

    Hi there,

    Since Ecuador is not a supported region for Xbox Live you will more than likely encounter issues with making purchases or you may not be able to make purchases at all.

    You'll have to try using a bank account from Columbia if you still have one and set your Xbox One region to Columbia, but there still may be complications with the physical IP address if you're in Ecuador and there may be errors when trying to make a purchase.
    So to be honest, I don't even recommend trying this due to the risk of encountering issues.
