I live in a dorm at a university and my Xbox is the only one that can't connect!

I have tried unplugging the router multiple times, hard reset my Xbox by holding the power button, and even going into the settings and resetting it that way as well. Currently, there is three other consoles working on the wireless internet right now. Also,
my phone works perfectly with the wifi. I need help!

Xbox Additional authentication issues

I currently live in a dorm/hotel at the moment. To access my dorms wifi I have to authenticate on the dorms website. Normally I get prompted to authenticate my user name and password via edge. It wasn't a problem before the update. But after the update
I get booted out of the browser because I'm not connected to Xbox live. I can't connect to Xbox live without logging in to the portal. Is anyone else experiencing this with Edge on Xbox

 

Connecting to Xbox LIVE in College Dorm- Xbox One.

I need help determining this. I just moved into my college dorm. My college requires you to sign into a webpage after clicking the Dorms Wifi.. but my Xbox One doesn't redirect me to that page. What can I do to get my Xbox to Connect to LIVE?

Sorry to hear about the issue! Video game consoles do connect differently than a smartphone or a PC would, and it sounds like the network hardware the console's are connecting to may not be set up to handle multiple consoles. Are you connecting to the school's
wifi, or do you have access to your own router and modem that the Xbox One is connecting to?

If you do have access to the network hardware, please post up both the brand and model numbers of both your modem & router so we can help drill the issue down further.

If you do not have access to the hardware, you will want to work with your school's IT to have the necessary ports opened and have your Xbox One console's MAC address whitelisted.

It is the schools wifi. It is wireless router called aruba networks. Yesterday, the IT came to our dorm and speedtested the internet(everything was fine with speeds no lower than 40mb/s every test but my Xbox would not connect) Our nat type is strict and
has been since I've been at this school. I contacted Xbox yesterday as well and the agent, his name is Lorenzo, told me that there needs to be 7 specific ports open. Lorenzo sent me the email with the ports and I forwarded that to the IT. The IT said that
those ports have been on the router for years. Last semester before Christmas break, the internet was fine even with a strict nay type. The IT told me that the internet service is the same. He also told me that during the night he limits gaming to 4/5mbps.
However, this problem persists all day.

Are you able to bring your console somewhere off campus to test it on a different internet source? Otherwise, this is a situation where you'll want to work directly with your Uni's network admin team directly. Have you asked them about having your console's
MAC address whitelisted? If not, you may want to explore that route.
