    I know the username and password to my xbox account, I just don't remember the email...


    I had an Xbox one back in 2015-2019ish and I had an account with lots of progress in some games like dying light and state of decay 2. Around summer of 2019, My mother had sold the Xbox one for money to go to stuff that in short my family didn't appreciate. And she had not told us of her selling it and thus had not backed up any files so I couldn't get the email address. It wasn't for a while that I had gotten another Xbox so I had not bothered to really remember the email thinking it wouldn't be a huge deal. I've now come to realize that my thought process was entirely wrong and I now have been stuck guessing this stupid email over and over. I actually made a second account similar to it and was able to find that through me looking through history of stuff from the Epic games launcher. But it hasn't helped me too much besides give me some hope. I've been at this for a year and all I need to know is the email to my account but Xbox won't allow that even with me being able to provide a password and username to it. Please help me find the account my mother lost.

    Hi,

    As far as I am aware, there are no means of recovering an email linked to a Microsoft (Xbox) account, even if you know your Gamertag.

    However, this support article might help, if there are any situations applicable to you.

    As far as I can tell, you can't recover an account without knowing the email associated with it as that is the main identifier of it...there's been a few threads recently about the same thing

    You're saying you don't remember the email, but you remember the username and password? Just sign into Xbox.com using your user name and password and go to "my account" it will say your listed email address there. Then on your new Xbox, click the Xbox guide
    button on your controller, sign out of any account that is signed in and click "download gamertag". You will be prompted for your email and password.

    If you don't have an Xbox console we can try other methods such as checking your other devices (Laptop, PC, or mobile device) where you may have signed in before.

    Please check all Microsoft accounts that you own and sign in to https://account.xbox.com/profile to locate the correct Microsoft account because according to Xbox support:

    "Important Xbox Support can't provide this info, even if you know your gamertag."

    I have the same problem with not being able to change the username. I don't remember the password for the account, the email I used to make the account, or even making a THQ account in the first place.
