I keep leaving xbox party on PC game bar.

Yes, this is a momentary issue, on both console and PC platforms. And yes, since it's just an instability with the service, the servers will be back in no time. But I do not have a timeframe for it.

I've followed all your steps and restarted my PC twice and the problem still consists. Are you suggesting that this is a temporary issue and if I wait it may be solved on its own?

My brother who has an xbox console also seems to be having this problem.

I've been using a few methods that do seem to work but not 100%

- Logging out, logging in.

- Being a party leader (another person has to join quickly before you leave)

- Restarting your pc

- And your method seemed to of worked for a while.

Actually, this had been happening for a few days now, mate. We believe is just an instability with the service. Try the procedure I'll leave below, and if that doesn't work, we advise waiting for a while.

First, make sure your windows and all its services are up to date:

Open Settings, click Update and Security and then Windows Update;

Click Check for Updates;

Click the Download and Install Now option, if available;

Then try this:

Go to windows settings > apps > search for xbox gamebar > click on it and select advanced options.

After that click repair and then restore, open the app and try again.

No it doesnt sort itself out for me microsoft drone.

When sea of thieves first came out the xbox companion worked fine, now its a pos. and game bar isnt much better. just a duplication of pos.

the feedback here is that it and the video describing party chat for xbox for pc it works for "Friends"

but not for "non friends" and i am playing with a lot of non friends in sea of thieves

(this concept of being able to play with everyone, should be anticipated and shown in the video... and as the game is interoperable.. should be a vid from microsoft on joining with pc and joining with xbox.

Im on windows 10

i am receiving notifications to join game but im constantly searching for where to action the notification.

finally i find the notifications... and i click on them and im disconnected as either its not working or its timed out from taking to long to find it.

notification pops up 5 seconds later its gone. even if i manage to click on it i still cant find it.

but they are hidden under another sub menu which should be on top !! Microsoft.

This is a basic navigation problem for ms designers to sort out who havent looked at the process logically, but just slapped it together. Again.

plus also for windows 10, i get put into a party and i find i cant leave it from the game bar or the text chat box without having to reboot!!

I shouldnt have to to that as i see no place to leave party , i see the party talk bubble but clicking on that doesnt make it leave.

if there is an easy way its not shown. I googled how to leave xbox party chat and all i got was how to leave xbox party chat with social niceties.

Situation now is due to the frustration in the community with PC players joining to XBOX games, in the xbox companion or game bar search for sea of thieves you see #xbox only tags. PC gamers have better systems generally to xbox and can join the game faster
so why are pc players being discriminated against because their systems are superior to xbox and the xbox software supporting interoperability is mediocre.

The xbox app and the game bar need to be integrated as one.. the xbox app is a preferred format.
