I keep getting unrecognized disc

i need with my console i keep unrecognized disc on my dvd and games. Whats going on here?

Please Describe the situation better, Does it play and then say its unrecognized? Does it Sit there reading for 10 Minutes then say Unrecognized Disc, or does it Just say its Unrecognized, I recommend sending it in for Repairs and getting the laser fixed.

Try performing a hard reset EXACTLY like this.

Hold the power button on the console for 8 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes. Plug the power cord back in and restart the console. Once it is back up and operational test
the results.

I have rage and the disc 2 will not read it says unrecognized disc I replaced the game and did the same thing still disc 2 unrecognized

I'm having the same issue, although my disc has yet to even start spinning in my damn console! lol it just keeps on saying "unrecognized disc" hurrah!... after spending nearly 100 bloody $$ after taxes I don't even get to play the game i bought... T_T

Seriously, wondering what might be the reason. Because, initially it worked, then all of a sudden it said unrecognized disc. Bought another one which also gave the same "unrecognized disc".
