I keep getting the latest 3.9 GIG xbox software update over and over and over again

Anyone know how to resolve this?

I do the update. Everything is cool. I can get online, play games, etc. then a few days later it prompts me AGAIN for the update. I have installed it 5 times already, and none of my other friends have had their xbox prompt the update past when it initially
came out.

Update software over and over...

Try holding the sync button in on the console while the console boots up, keep it pressed in until the console hopefully gets to the dashboard.

I am trying to do the software update. I download it, my console restarts, and then it tells me I need to update my software again. I have done this about 5 times now, and it keeps telling me the same thing over and over again. Any thoughts? Thanks!

 

Hi, there have been several preview updates this past week so if your Xbox is a part of the preview program that may be the reason. Check the version of the software your Xbox is using, it will now be

rs1_xbox_rel_1608.160715-2114

if the Xbox is part of the preview that is.

• Games purchased on a console running the latest Preview update can only be played on that console or other consoles running the latest Preview update.

I'm getting an update everyday for the past 3 days at 10.50pm same size and cuts into whatever i'm doing weather it be watching TV or playing a game quite annoying TBH

 

I dont think mine is a set time that it keeps doing this but i do keep getting updates everyday. It jumps to like 75% then the last 25 takes like 15 min. Its very annoying.
