I keep getting disconnected from xbox live

This is quite a long one so plz bare with me.

This started when i launched saints row 3 after i downloaded it. When i launched the game it disconnected me from xbox live yet there was no update of any sort. When ever i try to reconnect to xbox live it disconnects me after 5 seconds. I can connect to
xbox live as long as i am not signed into my profile it seems. I have turned my xbox on and off i have disconnected my xbox from my wireless internet and reconnected yet i still cant connect to xbox live without disconnecting instantly can anyone help?

After about half an hour on xbox live it sais disconnected from xbox live.

Clear your cache to remove the latest game update as it may be corrupt.

Then when you play the game again it will download the update again.
