There appears to be an issue with the Xbox Series X/S version of Grand Theft Auto V being compatible with the Xbox One Xbox One X version. Therefore, the Xbox Store may not allow you to purchase the Xbox Series of the game if you have an Xbox One.

Buy the Xbox One version of Grand Theft Auto V. This version of the game is compatible with Xbox One X and is cheaper than the Xbox Series X/S version. I'm not sure but I think it's no longer available to buy in the store.

If you decide to upgrade your Xbox One X to an Xbox Series X or Xbox Series S, you can do so through the Xbox Store or an authorized retailer.

going by what you have said, I'm guessing you asking if Xbox one x games will work for the series X? and if so that is correct some games have been confirmed for free upgrades to series x but all will be playable on the new console, including all games currently
compatible with Xbox one. So all Xbox 360 and Xbox games included too.

I normally would agree with that, but Microsoft made Forza Horizon 1 backwards compatible on the Xbox One very close to the day that they made this game no longer purchaseable online, so even without the game and its DLC being purchaseable in the online
store, the game still ended up backwards compatible in the end; plus the original Forza Motorsport 1 was never offered digitally online or anything (most, if not all people got it physically in 2005), so this one can easily be made backwards compatible as
nothing but a simple Xbox game to play on the Xbox Series S/X (and Xbox One too).

If somehow Forza Motorsport 2, 3 and 4 cannot be made backwards compatible because of what you said, then this only applies to those three Forza games, as Forza Motorsport 1 has no digital version to speak of (or any DLC at all) since it was an original Xbox
game, so this is one that could be made backwards compatible no problem licensing wise; plus some og Xbox games did get available for digital purchase on the Xbox Store once they became backwards compatible for Xbox One (Blinx: The Time Sweeper, Star Wars
and Splinter Cell games for example), so Microsoft could actually resell the original Forza Motorsport 1 digitally on their Xbox Store if they want when making the game backwards compatible for those to either use the og disc, or through digital purchase on
the Xbox Store.
