I Just purchased a game and it will not install on my Xbox

To install the game on your console, please go to My games & apps > See all > Full library > All owned games, select the game title, then press Install all.

If it says installation stopped after doing that. Try the steps below one at a time to resolve the issue.

Solution 1: Do a power cycle to clear the cache of the console



1. Turn off the Xbox console by pressing the Xbox button on the front of the console for about 10 seconds until it shuts down completely.

2. Unplug the console's power cable. Wait 10 seconds.

Important Be sure to wait 10 seconds. This step resets the power supply.

3. Plug the console power cable back in.

4, Press the Xbox button on your console to turn on the Xbox console.

Solution 2: Setup manual DNS settings.

1. Please go to Settings > Network > Advanced Settings > DNS settings >> manual

2. Primary DNS: 208.67.222.222

3. Secondary DNS: 208.67.220.220

Solution 3: Please try setting up a mobile hotspot connection using your phone, then connect the console to the hotspot connection. Try installing the game after that and see if it works.

Solution 4: Do a factory reset.

1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

2. Select System > Settings > System > Console info.

3. Select Reset console.

4. Reset and keep my games & apps.

make sure the game you bought is compatible with your xbox. if u use an xbox one but you bought a series s/x game (such as redfall or microsoft flight simulator) u should refund the game asap.

You install purchased Xbox 360 games just as any other One title. They will be in the ready to Install section of My Games and Apps.

If it is not there, then your purchase hasn't gone through.

Nope. And I've checked my purchase history, none of these games have ever been purchased on either of the accounts on my xbox.

And as an update, the new Rocket League just popped up as installed on my console. I did not purchase it.

I am having the same issue. Purchased Fallout 4 season pass from best buy. Redeemed on xbox.com BEFORE I installed the game. When I installed the game I noticed the Season Pass was not there when I Manage Game for Fallout 4 nor is it available to download.
When I look at the store on my xbox for the season pass it just says Manage, not Installed or the purchase price. When I click Manage it takes me to a blank screen that just has my profile picture and gamer tag in the upper left hand corner. So I can't
find it on my xbox and I can't download it again from the store.
