I just played evolve....

Evolve is at manchester comic con, so is the new boarderland.

I honestly don't know why anyone played AW in the first place. I was done with CoD MP after MW3. The game just didn't evolve enough.

Nice, probably the game I'm looking forward to the most. I take it you played it on the X1? How did it play, nice and smooth? Also out of interest how long did the round take approx?

 

it was on a PC, but had xbox one controllers.

It was very smooth, graphics were better than I expected, very good atmostphere etc, but the reps are giving nothing away.

The reps said on average the games are taking 20 mins, they had about 5 games going at ones although they were staggered depending on when games end, our game lasted about 10 mins (I think) but I had seen a fair bit of game play, and I don't think the other
people had, plus they were two groups of friends so I doubt they were an effective team.

Now really really can't wait till october. Infact I wanna go back and play now.....

I went to evolve, I got caught up once, and got trapped in the arena once, but got out quickly, the monster controls are very good, no idea about the team, as a monster its very easy to move, climb fly etc.

Once I fully evolved, the team came at me through a tunnel, so I ambused them, their problem was they bunched together, so my weapons did damage to everyone and not single players, you also see where people go down, so I camped the place one went down and
they kept trying to revive people and eventually were easy to finish off.

 

I asked if anyone has simply turned and ran straight at the team, but they said that wasn't a good plan because your weak until your evolved, so I did the norm, when its out I will give it a go.

 

Are there different maps to choose from? All the gameplay I've seen seem to be set in the same place.

 

There will be different maps on release but the map we played was the same as the one in the E3 tournaments, there will be different maps and different monsters, but the reps weren't giving anything away.

Glad you like it mate. I was on the fence with this game for numerous reasons but I might get it as a side player for when I need some filler between other releases. I mean no disrespect towards the game with that. Its just not something I would play as
much as lets say AC or TR ect...

I will enjoy it im sure

 

^^ Me too! This is the game I'm looking forward to the most this year.

 

@tCruzin Dragon Age 3, Killer Instinct, Dance Central Spotlight and Assassins Creed Unity (I can't believe I'm actually excited for AC) all trump Evolve for me. That's mainly because my normal game buddies haven't upgraded to Xbox One yet. If they had then
only Dragon Age would beat it out.

 

^^ I'm pretty much in the same boat (as far as friends). Your the only one on my list I've added for Evolve so far. I have one other buddy who will be picking it up too. There's still plenty of time before release so I'm sure I'll get a couple more by then.

Not to derail the thread but I forgot about KI (only because I have season 1 so I didn't include it). I am very excited for that too!

 

I am really really really, looking forward to evolve, I am a little worried it might get a bit repetitive if your just doing the same thing over and over, but after playing it I even more looking forward to it, and even if its not a day in day out game,
it will certainly be a weekly game when looking for laughs and a bit of FPS killing.

You got a t-shirt every time you played and there were wristbands for each player type, so i got a monster one, my son has pinched them both and I am gutted to have lost my monster wristband.
