I just picked up Alien Isolation :)

You Posted a lot of questions. I'll go through as best I can-

1) I need to learn ALL of these audio warnings that the Alien is nearby in order to survive.

Yes, the sounds in the Game are essential to learn.

(2) The motion tracker is a useless piece of cow patty that only ends up getting me killed.

Yes and no. Don't hold it out for simply walking around. Do use it to check distance of the Alien or Joe's but put it away immediately after. Look/ put it down. Use your eyes and ears for seeing if its safe.

(3) Amanda Ripley's arsenal CANNOT kill this " 1 " Alien that is relentlessly stalking her.

No Spoilers. No the Weapons in the Game cannot kill the Xeno.

Can I walk at full speed (not crouch walk) and not attract the Alien?

Yes but line of sight to the Joe's will get you in trouble. Same can go for the Alien if it is standing in a room you enter (the Xeno is actually a little slower in sight though).

When the Alien is far away and I purposely fire in a room to get its attention, can I walk at full speed (not crouch walk) on the parallel path that the Alien is using (it didn't see me) without being detected while the Xenomorph explores that area where
the Pistol was fired?

As said above, don't shoot for no reason. And even if you have a good reason for shooting still try not. The gun-shot calls the Alien (in most places) immediately and
always to the person shooting. To answer the question of "walking" though. Yes you can in a lot of situations just continue to walk away. Do not run, running will sign your death. I've had it literally right at my back as I entered
a hiding spot while walking and it was none the wiser.

Does the Alien hear the locker / whatever door slamming shot when you hide in it?

No

When the Alien triggers a placed Smoke Bomb, is its vision impeded while inside the smoke?

Smoke does not affect the Xeno

Does exiting the Locker / whatever alert the Alien to my presence? This process sounds noisy

No but bumping into objects does.

I am going to start all over again from the beginning without any music playing on the " Novice " difficulty setting.

If this game fails to gain positive ground with me on this final play through, I will unfortunately have to deem it is as a waste of money and enter it into my " Worst Games I've Ever Played " category

It's an amazing game... but then it's an amazing Survival Horror.

If you thought you were in for a game of "Call Of Duty: Alien Edition" then you're not gonna get the experience you're expecting.

Reading the game description never hurts and as well as doing a little bit of research before you go and spend your dollars.

Please understand that it isn't my intention to be mean / rude and I sincerely apologize in advance if I offend anyone with the following statement...

" Amanda Ripley's crouch walking speed makes a snail look like Sonic The Hedgehog "

OMG! I have been doing nothing but crouch walking and it takes FOREVER to get anywhere!

I am once again at the part where I want to kick in the family jewels of a certain NPC Doctor and a certain NPC Special Item Holder who would have gotten his family jewels kicked in too if they weren't already asleep!

............

I ran for the 1rst time when I had to escape from the Communications Tower after talking to Samuels because I am so fed up of moving at snail speed.

Also, I had to contend with the Alien & the Androids during the escape! Really?! Are you kidding me?!

It's a good thing that I noticed the Alien's drool dripping from the overhead vent because I would have walked right into it had I not been paying attention!

I haven't died yet and I still havent't used my motion tracker ever since I got because this piece of cow patty only ends up getting me killed!

Alien Isolation is truly an epic of a masterpiece in gaming

Despite the fact that I had a horrible experience with this game, I will not give the game a low score.

The amount of love and polish that has been put into this game is amazing, and it is something that needs to be experienced first hand.

As a fan of the Alien Movies, I love what was presented here

The reason that I gave the game an 8.5 out of 10 is not because of my overall negative experience playing. It is because of the following...

(1) the pacing of this game is super super super slow.

(2) there is no auto-save, so you will repeat a lot of stuff over and over again when you die mid-mission.

(3) this game has a very high learning curve

I highly recommend this game if you have the patience to withstand the 3 things that I just mentioned because you will be in for one heck of an awesome ride

I am glad that I only spent $19.80 on Alien Isolation and not the full retail price of $66.00 when it first came out.

For me, Aliens Colonial Marines is the best game in this series that I've played and I got the game at launch for $66.00

I haven't gotten WAY more enjoyment out of this game and I still play it to this very day

Thanks for your review on "Alien: Isolation".

I give your review a 2/10 based on your fundamental miss-understanding of the genre, playing music through a stealth game and at the end of it all complaining that the game does everything it says it's going to do fairly well.

You did manage to claw a couple of points back because you tried to stick with it though.

Stealth= move slowly=pay attention=think. before. you. move=. manage. your. inventory and. your. saves....

Nothing really. special and. mainly. the. purpose. of this. game. based. on. the first Alien movie.

I am done with Alien Isolation. I tried it and I didn't like it. Why would I buy it again for the Xbox One?

Also, on my second playthrough (the one where I started all over again), I played the game the way that I am supposed to.

No music at all (I even turned off the game music so I could only hear the ship noises and stuff) and crouch walking 99% of the time.

It was ANNOYING!

Like I said, it took FOREVER to get anywhere.

I can only imagine how much longer it is going to take when I keep on dying since on my 2nd play through I did not use the motion tracker at all.

I found the learning curve to be very high because this game is different from the other stealth games that I've played before.

(1) Hitman 2: Silent Assassin

(2) Hitman: Contracts

(3) Hitman: Blood Money

(4) Tenchu Z

This game is very different because the enemies are a lot smarter and adaptive than the ones that I've encountered in the games that I mention above.
