I made a new account and prestiged twice on it now I just play on this one. My friend got to 15th, made a new account and got to 15th again already.

I just made a new Canadian friend through the beta.

 

Yep. I had a friend who asked me last night if we could play Killer Instinct together at some point today, so we worked out a window to meet between 6 and 10 p.m. - big mistake. I can't access my friend's list (or followers or recent players or game hub
leaderboards), I can't chat in a party and I can't invite anyone to a party or a game. I was able to send my friend a message via my message history and from there I can see that he's online (there's a green dot by his name), but I have no idea if the message
actually went through (although it looks like it did). I've asked him to respond, but he has not yet done so, so yeah... This sucks... Again.

 

Fear not... Any minute some crazed fanboy will show up and let you guys know that they are having no problems and everything on their Xbox One has been absolutely perfect since day 1... lol

 

I get a "server runtime error" when I attempt to visit the service page to see if there's an alert.

 

I was in a party for about 2 hours, left and the friends list was down. Heh well, I was done for the evening anyway.

As far as the OP goes, can you actually call this person you met a friend already? I'd call him an acquaintance if anything.

 

Well as far as xbox goes, we were about to become 'friends' let's not get carried away with semantics. The point is how bad this 'service' is.

 

I mean, unless it's called an acquaintance list in the UK...

The service isn't bad or i wouldn't be online everyday since Christmas playing games. I think what you mean to say is live has issues which that is true and don't think anyone will disagree there but a bad service?..No not in a million years.

 

Yellowjacket, you are playing single player games. It doesn't concern you.

 

So you are upset you cannot add him so you came to the XB site where you can easily just type his name into the friend list here and request the friendship...

Most problems have the simplest of answers...

but sure.. friends is down...and it will continue to go down every no and then until W10 is released and/or they get all this new tech and their ducks lined up in a row

 

I agree that the service isn't that bad. At least it's just the friends list that goes down instead of the whole service like that other platform

 

And as I said in another thread when my FL goes down I change the view to "Followers" and change it back and its right as rain. dont know if that works for everyone but it works for me.
