    i'm using a fetch box and have wireless internet

    Brand new Xbox One S not doing start-up update.

    Just bought a new Xbox One S and trying to do the initial update that's about 1gb. It keeps popping up with an error saying that there's been an issue with the update, with the code 0x8923000a, which the Xbox doesn't seem to have listed ANYWHERE that I can
    find.

    Hi have just bought a new xbox one s for my son, I cant get past the 1st update screen so cant even use the console. gives an error code 0x8923000a, nothing came up on searching the code. I suspect it is my slow internet connection which I am working towards
    getting fixed, can anyone help?

    Your advice has helped me to not look at this with tunnel vision. There are actually others who have similar problems.

    I'm guessing it could be network related - so I will try some modem cable changes etc. If still no success I will attempt an offline update.

    New xbox one won't update. Update error 0x8923000a 0x00000000 0x900c0005 not recognised

    Same error code except for last set which is 0x00000206 with nil recognition from xbox support page. Tried multiple attempts at updating with no avail. Tried resetting, hasn't worked. Internet download speed sitting at 10mbps so not internet related.

    WHAT GIVES. NOT ACCEPTABLE FOR A NEW PRODUCT OUT THE BOX.
