I just bought a new headset and I'm told I sound like a robot. How do I fix this?

I was told to update my controller, but when I went to do that, I see do "update" option. I have a wired controller, not sure if that's the problem or not.

How to have headset game sounds coming through speakers only with P2 plug?

I bought a headset and a new controller with a P2 headset entrace, but I just can't find a way to limit game sounds to come through the speakers only.

Basically, I don't wanna hear my game sounds through the headset, but through the speakers only. I want to have my headset for party/game chat only, just like with the original headset that comes with the console. How can I do this?

 

Headset not hearing game sounds

hey my headset was working fine then all of a sudden i could talk to friends but no game sound is coming out of headset. I tried headset in my phone and can hear perfectly. Can anyone help me fix this. I just went out and bought new headset it worked great
for like 1/2 hour then game sounds went away again

I'm sorry to see any headset issues! You mention having a wired controller, we do not have any official Xbox controllers that are wired for the Xbox One. Do you happen to have a third party controller, or is this controller wired by a microUSB to USB cable?
