I just baught a xbox 360 and its console banned?

I just baught a xbox 360 from a random person , and when I get home and try to make an account it says its console banned? I dont know whats going on ? is there a way this can be reversed , i hate wasting money on somthing i got scammed from some lady ,
all i know is she says it worked great and her son upgraded and didnt need it anymore so i was like what the heck ill buy it and let my daughter play with it.

start up problem

I just baught a preowned console at gamestop and at the first screen the xbox wont react to the controller and I'm stuck on this screen

gears 3- deranked

logged into gears and found out i got reset, acheivements are still there but its like i just baught the disc.

Sorry, but once consoles are banned there is no way to have them unbanned. That's unfortunately the major downside of buying second hand consoles.

Mine just did it now and i tried to Uninstall it and reinstall it now its saying i never even baught it im calling xbox tommorw as soon as i get up this is bs

If your Xbox 360 was bought used its a possibility the console was banned and there isn't a way to un-ban the console .

Well the guy i baught the xbox from was playing forza horizon 4 fine. I tried some 360 games but they dnt want to load because they needed updates. I also deleated all data from the xbox and its showing 300 of 500Gig storage for use
