Confirmed that this is happening for the Halo 2 update of MCC with no possible workaround as of today, May 18th 2020. I cant even play the portions of MCC that ARE downloaded because it will not allow it. This is crazy. This is a service that is being
paid for. It's not just through the Xbox Beta program, it occurs directly in the MS Store. This needs a fix like yesterday. Stop closing threads when they're still pertinent.

There is an official solution for this isssue provided by the MSFS support team via twitter: https://twitter.com/MSFS_Support/status/1435282985490599938

The solution consist of the following steps:

1. Install the Xbox App from the Windows Store (link) and launch it
   
2. Then, go back to Microsoft Store > ... > Downloads and Updates > Get Updates
   

Now, the MSFS update may appear.
