    Here is my Network diagram.

I having a lot of LAG in multiplayer gaming, tried to remove double NAT, strict NAT [IMG]

All connections from DISH to XBOX one are wired. I have configured DMZ for XBOX one IP (192.168.0.10) on Linksys E1200, Linksys E1200 is at 192.168.0.1 with DHCP enabled. The NETIS router is in bridge mode (So no NAT), with DHCP disabled. XBOX one has static
IP with Static DNS (192.168.0.1, 8.8.8.8, 8.8.4.4). All connections from UBIQUITi home dish to XBOX are wired (Though both Linksys and Netis are wifi). I am having problem in multiplayer gaming with lot of lag while my connection is 10Mbps and XBOX One is
still showing NAT type: Strict and Double NAT detected. Which I heard is bad for Multiplayer Gaming. Please help what to do. P.S: The Ubiquiti Dish admin page is not accessible to me but to Network Guys.

    :)

    Hi Muhammed,

Thanks for reaching out to the forums. We understand you are having issues playing multiplayer. Have you tried port forwarding? This opens ports Xbox uses. As you already have strict NAT when you connect to a game it will be hard to play any multiplayer
    games.

    Please check the following:

Sign into your gateway's configuration, and take a note of the WAN IP that your router is getting from your ISP.

Then point your browser to a website like https://whatismyipaddress.com/and compare the public IP of your gateway
with the IP shown on that website.

If the IP is different, then your ISP is causing the double NAT by using CG-NAT or DS-Lite IPv4 Tunneling through IPv6.

If you found that your ISP is using CG-NAT or DS-Lite, call their support and demand a public IPv4 address.

Since IPv4 addresses are basically "used up", a lot of ISPs have to hide several of their customers behind a single IPv4 address, which is fine for normal web surfing and email use. But multiplayer and server applications will have issues with
this CG-NAT and will show you the double NAT error.

    Thanks,

    Brad

Dear I have configured XBOX local ip as a DMZ host. Which I believe is forwarding all ports.

And the other thing is I cannot get into my gateway's configuration so I cannot check the ip but I understand what are trying to say that my local ISP might not have lot of IPv4 addresses so they are natting every other user behind one IP.

About CG-Nat or DS-Lite I'll ask my ISP about it, but there is question in my mind that if that is the case, then why my internet won't work when I try to disable NAT at Linksys E1200. Well my understanding is that because there is no natting on local ISP
    level??????

Yes. It says Strict for the NAT type and that double NAT is detected. Also when we directly connected to modem, we got strict Nat and uPnP not working. The double NAT message went away.

Did you try changing your NAT type? The helpdoc says:

    Open:

With an OPEN NAT type, you’re able to chat with other people, as well as

join and host multiplayer games with people who have any NAT type on

    their network

    Moderate:
With a MODERATE NAT type, you’re able to chat and play multiplayer games

with some people; however, you might not be able to hear or play with

others, and normally you won’t be chosen as the host of a match.

    Strict:

With a STRICT NAT type, you’re only able to chat and play multiplayer

games with people who have an OPEN NAT type. You can’t be chosen as the

    host of a match.

-- So I take that to mean if you have STRICT NAT, and if anyone in the group DOES NOT have an OPEN NAT type you are going to have problems.

Are you both running STRICT NAT type?
