    My power went out today and when I tried to log back in to xbox live It wouldnt let me play any games or anything because it said I didnt have Gold. I tried to buy Gold again thinking maybe my subscription ran out or sometihing, but it says I already have
    Xbox Live Gold. I can't but another one or playt any games now. Does anyone know why this is happening/ why microsoft/xbox one has so many bugs/ sucks really bad?

    Hi there,

    please double check http://account.microsoft.com/services to see if the subscription is showing there.

    If the subscription shows, try the following steps

    Remove profile from the console (Make sure you know the account credentials for the account, since you will need them later)

    Perform the manual power cycle steps like mentioned on the following link, be sure to wait at least 60 seconds before powering on again:
    Restart or Power Cycle Xbox One Console

    Redownload your profile

    If these steps fail, then its best to contact Xbox Support (via Phone or Microsoft Support Chat) at

    Contact Us | Xbox Support

    Let us know the results

    I bought Xbox Live Gold, but it says I don't have Gold.

    I checked my transaction list and I bought Xbox Live Gold on 01/26/18, but now I'm getting the message to join Gold and I cannot play online or talk with friends in party chat. I have tried removing then re-adding my account onto my console, but that hasn't
    done anything.

    I'm having the same problem... ive tried hard re-setting my xbox one and removing my profile and re-downloading it nothing has worked so far.

    Hey there David!

    Sorry to hear that you're having issues with your Gold account!

    Can you try and run a Xbox LIVE connection test? This should update your account, let me know if this problem continues.

    To do this, press the Guide button on your controller, go to
    Settings, and select System Settings. Select Network Settings, select
    Wired Network or your wireless network name (if you are prompted to do so), and then select
    Test Xbox LIVE Connection.

  7. you'll probably need to reset your xbox to factory default. this will wipe your saved games and force you to put your profile back in, but it will usually do the trick. usually if the power went out, your downloaded info updates for your profile probably
    got corrupted.

    When I try to send a party invite it tells me I need a good membership, but when I try to use a code for Xbox live gold it tells me I have gold. How do I fix this? Please help

    Sorry to hear about the issue! I recommend contacting our chat or phone support agents through our Contact Us page and have them remove and add back Xbox Live Gold to your profile.
