    I have xbox live Gold, but I am receiving an error message that reads "Your profile does ...


    I have xbox live Gold, but I am receiving an error message that reads "Your profile does not have the correct permissions to access Xbox Live functionality." This issue just started up yesterday. I checked on billing.microsoft.com to make sure my account
    was up to date and it is. I have tested the network connection it is all good and I have recovered my account. I don't know what else to try to make Gold work on my Xbox.

    You should head over to the Settings menu and adjust your online permissions. If you cannot change them then the parental account will need to do so.

    have the same problem.spoke to support they rebooted xbox but nothing.on the xbox service alert its saying about this

    Hmm, the status report says everything working again. Still no gold for me on 360 or xbox one, I've checked my membership is still active on the commerce site. I think you owe me 11pence for this down day Microsoft, I expect my refund.

    I'm having the same issue. It says I'm not a gold membership but I've checked my account and my Internet and everything is ok on that end. So you're not alone

    Okay! update, I was able to finally figure it out due to some awesome caller support. Apparently the card that my xbox charged when trying to renew was cancelled ( I completely forgot about it) So it charged it then locked me out so I couldn't get a new
    gold membership. Give customer service a call and ask them to look at the card that was used.
