I agree the X1 was rushed out the door. I also only just picked one up at the end of February, so I had time to evaluate before purchasing.

I really think MS should do some PR around this... But know they won't. They'll just keep rolling out updates until things are where they should be. Not ideal, but better than nothing I guess.

I can't really identify with your situation as I don't have cable tv, or run an HTPC, but I can understand your point, and frustration.

I'm happy with the X1 for other reasons, and I wish you well with whatever you decide.

 

I found that I missed OneGuide and TV support when I stopped using it. So now I use my STB's component out for my dedicated TV/PVR activity and re-attached the STB's HDMI to the XONe. Works great and I'm happy with this configuration,

 

How are the graphics not next gen? Unless you only played ghost. Of course that's not next gen on ps4 either.

Um, true next gen games are able to be rendered at full 1080p, not up-scaled, but rendered at full 1080p. Something that the XB1 has struggled with, out of the box. Maybe the new SDK, and full understanding of the dedicated servers and cloud gaming will
fix, or at least improve upon that issue.

But I do know this, Titanfall, a game made FOR the XB1, and using the dedicated servers (cloud) is not going to render at full 1080p.

That to me is an issue, plain and simple. NOT a deal breaker, but an issue for sure.

 

Yes but the graphics are next gen. Resolution and graphical quality are different things. Bf4 for instance looks nothing like it does on the 360. Forza and ryse are gorgeous. The power is there too. Dr3 and the amount of zombies couldn't happen on 360. Titanfall
is hard to use as a judge new company old engine. Gameplay was their main concern.

 

I don't understand people like the OP. You're on here complaining to all of us like we can do something about your problem. You are simply wasting your time on here, because no matter how much you complain about it on this forum...nothing will change,
because this a problem that we cannot fix. It's obvious that you want us to give you the "oh oh no, don't go! It'll get better" speech, and we won't. Just turn on your PS4 and start playing games. Have fun. I sold it and bought an Xbox One for a reason,

Graphics are not the same as resolution, and resolution is not the same as graphics.

 

I ask the OP... did you ever figure out your configuration? I see you purchased a PS4 but did that solve your connection issue with trying to integrate your Xbox One into your HTPC system? My guess is no. Have fun on your PS4. You can always come home...

@ TRIGMATIC - um I'm on this form because I *gasp* assumed that there would be like minded people that I could vent my frustrations to. Unfortunately there are a ton of drones on this site that don't care about their fellow Xbox gamer and will just blast
a poster if what they say goes against M$ company policy.

@ CamHawk -um no, but as I stated I didn't purchase the PS4 to solve my issue with the XB1 NOT including WMC. That would make no sense whatsoever considering the PS4 was NEVER advertised as an all in one media machine like the XB1 is being touted, when it
simply is NOT an all in one media machine. The PS4 does exactly what it was advertised to do. The XB1? Not so much...

 

I like my xbox one so far. Does it have issues? Yes. Am I concerned about the fact that ps4 graphics seem to be much better? A little. But overall I am enjoying my experience and am anxiously awaiting some good rpg's to come out! Just really hoping
that ms can fix the issues it does have. Biggest one being games crashing and going back to home screen. That one really bothers me.
