I have unplugged my Xbox One For TV Pass Thru...

thats odd. You should probably report that in the feedback thread. I've went blackscreen 3 times and my xbox on command still works 99% of the time. I think it didn't work one time in the past 2 months

Op you are completely right and keep posting with your issues don't mind the cult members on this forum they will defend anything there master makes.

Also people who say Microsoft dosn't read these forums are crazy they may not in a official way but they read them they just will not respond.

The cable functions on the X1 are a joke. On the 360 I could watch tv without even pluging in a cable all I had to do was launch the Fios App and I could watch HD cable over just my internet conection when I felt like it. But in reality it's just as easy
to just switch inputs on the remote and keep the TV where it belongs off the gaming console.

And people who keep saying it's early in the life of the X1 that is the dumbest way of thinking. When a new model of anything gets launched they don't go backwards and remove features. On 360 those features where not available at launch because they did
not excist yet so of course they where not there!

 

^PS4 doesn't support CDs, MP3s, or even streaming content.

New models most certainly launch with missing features. There's really not a whole lot of features missing from the Xbox One that the Xbox 360. Almost zero even. The problem is the way they were implemented on the Xbox One isn't exactly ideal.

 

If the X1 came out 100% done..... there would be nothing to discuss, and nothing going on in these forums. I personally bought the X1 just for the excitement of what is yet to come!

Not everybody is as articulate as people would like including some of the very regular posters on this forum who type like they just drank a 12 pack of Mountain Dew shouting "Xbox Rules"

I'm going to ignore the whinyness of the OP and answer his questions (phrased in threats and swearwords).

The TV should come out at the same quality as your box. The X1 doesn't support 1080i, so that could be the problem, or it could be your settings. If you are European, use the 50Hz option (will show up on March 11th).

Most missing features are either expensive and little used (backwards compat) or due in a future update. You know, because electronic tech is never finished day one. Heck, PS4 can't even play CDs.

If you just want to whine, fine. Do it on the PS forums, where you will still find few agree with you.

If you want a superior experience, a new SDK is out for X1 which will soon give upcoming multiplats parity as in Wolfenstein. The exclusives this time around are better on Xbox One (Sunset Overdrive, Quantum Break, Titanfall, Project Spark, Kinect Sports
Rivals, a new Halo, a new Gears, and a bunch of unannounced projects).

 

Im confused as what he is really complaining about? I have owned almost every console ever made except some Nintendo models but I have definitely played all off them even that weird one with a number pad I can't remember what it was called. Anyway I love
my new xbox one honestly I have had a few black screens but it seeems they only game when I had that beta box checked to resume a game. Also since that doesn't say beta on mine anymore I have enabled it and not had a one since. On a side note I mainly favor
racing games so I bought the xbox one first. If ps4 had drive club out I probably would have bought that. That being said I have a ps3 and really have always liked that too. I unsure if some of his problems are dlna. I am using this now on my tv so to those
that do not know you need to install the video app on xbox one. Then go buy program on play store called avia. It has a free program but I don't believe it works in the top right corner of the app you should see a tv button press that. It should bring up
devices to connect to. Xbox must be powered on to see. Once connected you can stream anything to the xbox one from that app but also control volume pause play ff rw options one the xbox. The app will see any dlna servers I know this might sound a little complicated
but it really isn't if you already have a dlna device setup. I hope this helps someone on here.

 

@ Big, "It's a huge waste of energy." were in the hell did you get this information? My X1 uses about 60 watts of electric watching TV. That's about $5, depending on your cost of electric, if you left it on 24/7 for a month!

 

Sorry so late to reply, but I do have a life outside of gaming. Not saying any of you don't, just stating the facts.

Sorry if I came off as a whiner, not my intention. My intention was to show my deep, deep frustration with M$ and their new, allegedly, all in one media product the XB1.

I will simply state this, and if you honestly think you have an argument against this statement then in my opinion you are a blind consumer, a drone if you will:

How can ANY OF YOU feel okay about M$ (or any company) releasing a product that does not have features that the lesser product before it had?

That's it, that's my complaint. M$ released a product that doesn't include features that the older, lesser product has. The argument of "the 360 didn't have all those features at launch" holds NO weight AT ALL. I'm not talking about 8-9 years ago. I'm talking
about NOW, and I'm talking about a NEW product not adopting features that the old product has and improving upon them. If anything those features that were included with the XB1 are lesser, more flawed versions than that of the 360.

Oh, by the way I got a PS4 yesterday. Great gaming machine, but not much else. But I wasn't expecting much else like I am with the XB1 because the PS4 wasn't advertised as anything more than a gaming machine. The XB1 was advertised as an all in 1 media machine,
and it simply is not that whatsoever.

 

hes going to be in for a huge disappointment if hes getting a PS4 thinking it will be better then the xbox one
