Xbox One X 4K pass thru?

I have a day 1 XB1. I just got a 4K TV and found out that it does not support 4K pass thru. I was thinking of upgrading to a XB1S, but saw it also does not support 4K pass thru. My question is now does the XBOX ONE X support 4K pass thru. I hope MS has
the ability to update the entire family of Xboxes to support 4K pass thru. I know it's a small thing, but my Xbox One is just my Xbox now, and enjoy running my TV thru my Xbox. I hate having to switch inputs on my AV receiver to go to my Xbox.

So will the XB1X support 4K pass thru?

  3. Latest update messed up black levels for UHD playback

I've gotten it on my pass-thru on my isp tv . Watching Gotham had all the black weird splotches . I had to change my setting from vivid to cinema to get rid of it . I have a new 4K Hienese television . Also , the audio on pass thru is delayed now with no
way to change the sync thru the Xbox . The update before screwed up my Xbox Media Remote ...

BS on us not being consumers and being "beta testers." I definitely didn't pay $500 to be a beta tester.

Also BS on the "360 tooko 5+ years to reach half of the potential it possessed." That's exactly why the XB1 being an inferior product to the 360 is an issue. The 360 already did all the hard work for the XB1. All M$ had to do was build a better machine,
hardware wise, and transfer the guts, or ideals of the 360 to it.

Man you people are so ignorant. I can't believe I am hearing what you are saying, and that you actually believe what you're all saying.

  5. I got both systems and I already prefer the PS4 than the Xbox One. Heck, I even traded in my 360 to get the PS3 and I 100% glad I did.

What pisses me off is that the TV guide feature doesn't work in Canada yet. Was told at the MS store Edmonton opening that it will be available in Canada, but obviously lied to.

What also bogs the mind is that you can do digital pre-orders on the Xbox One, where on the PS4 you can.

Major Wreckus, I will be picking up a PS4 sometime in the future as I've always owned both. But unfortunately I'm considering selling the XB1 due to the massive amount of disappointment I have with the product.

I didn't own the original Xbox, but have had a 360 since day one, shoot I wanted in line overnight to get the 360 and have loved it since day one. I'm sad to say I can't say the same about the XB1.

If Infamous get's great reviews I'll be picking up a PS4 then, otherwise I'll wait till Destiny comes out from Bungie. So funny to me that Bungie obviously prefers the PS4 over the XB1, a system or division of a company they helped make and now looks as
though they want nothing to do with, or are at the very least forced to do business with just do to the customer base.

  7. If your a baseball fan, B1G SCIota, you may want to get a PS4 for MLB Show 14.

Hey OP, just remember you are an early adapter by choice. The good part is you get all the new cool stuff and access to some games and stuff as well as twitch streaming, upload studio etc etc. The bad side is, some stuff will be missing and will get added
in later. the 360 was a fraction of itself at launch. Updates are coming and will supply more features

  9. ^ I think allot of people are asking, will we be able to ever use the passthrough hdmi with out the xb1 being on at all? It's kind of a waste of energy tbh. Then of course you could just get an hdmi splitter anyway so that rules out my query anyway.

Well if you think your iPod/iPad/HTPC/ and all other electronic devices (barring your microwave and alarm clock radio) were "complete" when you purchased them, you are the ignorant one. Well it sounds like you have solved your problem then... PS4 is the
way, the light and glory hallelujah the end-all be-all Holy Grail, Arc of the Covenant, saving the princess from Bowser way to go bro. Enjoy.

I have my Xbox One with tv hooked up going through the bypass as well as my cable box going through regular components to my tv so I don't have to use it all the time to watch. It isn't that much of a hassle...My Samsung accepts 1080p through components
and I'm sure most newer sets can as well. Love the Blue Ray drive and the newest update with audio and surround is awesome! Funny how you couldn't even play a blue ray disc on day one with the ps4...you know with the so call "founders" of blue ray being sony
and all...oh yeah, and it stutters too....have fun with that!!

@Dwoop33 you are wrong. I've owned a ps4 since day one and it has always played blue ray and without any stutter. Please don't make things up.

As far as the x1 although I do enjoy it it has a lot of problems as of now. So I think it's justified when people get *** after spending 500.00 and it doesn't work as advertised.

I for one have a decrease in picture quality with direct tv and 52 inch sony using the hdmi pass thru. I have also had the black screen every day and with that have to recalibrate the voice also.

So fanboy crap aside as a adult consumer I am a little ***,Like I would be with any product I purchased wether a gaming console or a toaster.

Blind loyalty to anything is not very smart.

This guy is right I expected the one to do everything the 360 can do and do it better , and well it can't.I wasn't expecting a hole lot of extras out the gate. Looks like M.S pushed this box out the door a year too soon.

  14. I have no picture quality loss, you should check your settings. my tv went into game mode after plugging in my xbox which causes a slight loss, but after i adjusted it, the picture looks as good as ever. Might want to recalibrate your TV to work with the
    xbox better. I have a 43" samsung 3d TV.

I ahve gotten the black screen issue since the last patch a few times, but it never caused me to have to reclaibrate my kinect so IDK why you would do that? just have to reboot. is it annoying? yes. but all electronics have issues. i mean computers crash,
programs crash, phones crash. it happens. i have a brand new ipad air with the latest iOS and apps crash all the time on it. sometimes it freezes and needs a reboot. I'm not going to trash apple for though and complain on their forums.

I do agree the fanboy crap needs to stop. and this goes to both sides. But in all fairness it is an xbox forum, and there are a lot of (not callin you one) sony fanboy trolls that come here with the main purpose to rain on our parade and basically call us
stupid for enjoying our system (which i do enjoy very much BTW)

Blind loyalty is stupid, but it works both ways. I see the same complaints here on sony forums about the PS4 missing features the PS3 had and about it crahsing, dropping connection, not launching games, spitting out discs for no reason even in the middle
of a game, controller LS wearing out etc. In the end, both consoles are new tech and will have their issues and they will get fixed overtime. letting MS know in a feedback thread is good. but people making 5 threads a day to complain about the same stuff is
getting old to us people that frequent the forums everyday

    @Upinya

I have to recalibrate because the "xbox on" stops working.

    Good points and I agree!
