I have two new portable USB Xbox Drives. One is a 500GB 2.0 USB and I have a 1 TB Portable ...

Can I hook up the two 2 hard drives even though one is a 2.0 USB and the other 1TB that is 3.0 USB, Is this possible to connect them both to get 2TB onto my xbox one. will the 2.0 hinder the performance or is it not possible. I was going to the 2.0 USB 500GB
to transfer data on another computer and then wipe it and use it on the xbox One. Can anyone help. Please.

Xbox One External Hard Drive Question

I have a 500GB Xbox One, so you can imagine im short or space for games. so i was looking at getting a
Toshiba HDTB330EK3CA 3 TB 2.5-Inch USB 3.0 Canvio Basics External HDD

Firstly: is it compatable with an Xbox One?

Secondly: if it is, how do i connect the two?

I'm using a WD Elements 1TB USB 3.0 portable hard drive.

I believe a USB 2.0 drive is required but USB 3.0 is backwards compatibile. Also i'm assuming that you are less likely to have performance problems if the drive is USB 3.0 due to the fact that the speed will drop to maximum USB 2.0 speed when connected to
the 360.

I can't find a list anywhere yet although i'm assuming if a drive works with the xbox one it will work with the 360.

Also don't worry if a drive you buy has NTFS on it as the 360 will be able to format it to FAT32 to make it compatible

 

I'm not 100% sure, but I'd say there shouldn't be any issues using a USB 2.0 and 3.0 at the same time... however, the USB 2.0 drive will only be seen as a media storage device. You won't be able to have games on it.

I assume you're talking about plugging one drive into the other and then into the Xbox? If so, sorry I really don't know, so I can't help with that. I've always had enough ports on the console and haven't had to chain anything together.
