I have two consoles and they keep turning each other off, how do I fix this?

I have a problem related to CEC with two XBOX consoles, an Xbox one S and an Xbox Series S. I have them both plugged to my Vizio D32x-D1 smart TV.

I have both consoles set to turn the TV off or on whenever the consoles turn off or on. For the Series S I had to turn on CEC in TV settings so it could turn off the TV since previously it only turned the TV on instead of doing both.

The problem is that if both consoles are on at the same time, turning off one console would turn off the other one. I previously had both consoles connected to an HDMI switch, because the tv only has two HDMI ports and wanted to connect a third HDMI cable to the tv for my cable box.

I don't watch tv as much as I used to, so I unplugged the cable box and connected one of the Xboxes to that freed up port. I thought this might fix the problem with both consoles turning off, but, that didn't work.

Try just connecting a console to the power outlet, and connect the HDMI to the TV.

To do this, connect the console to a different outlet than the one on you TV.
After that, connect the HDMI cable to the TV.

We have the same issue. My roommate has his xbox and i have the xbox one. When he turns his tv on with a remote. It turns even his xbox on and turns my entire set up on to. We have tried changing every settings combo but no fix yet. I think its the frequency of the remote, tvs, and xboxes.

Hello Luke, I confess that I have never heard of any similar case.

One question, when you say they're in the same room, are they electrically connected together in the same line filter (Mixed Outlets)?

If so, you've tried connecting them separately to see if the problem continues.

Since you have confirmed that you two are still set as each other's Home Xbox that shouldn't be a problem.

Kindly perform a powercycle on the console that isn't getting the subscription then try again.

POWERCYCLE CONSOLE

1. Turn off your console by holding the Xbox button on the front of the console for approximately 10 seconds. The console will turn off.

2. Turn your console back on by pressing the Xbox button on the console or the Xbox button on your controller.

Same thing happened to me the other night two different times. Each time I had to turn the Xbox off to make it stop.
