I got my Series X for Christmas in 2020 and it's been having this issue for probably about 4-5 months. I've noticed that everytime I power cycle, unplug the power cable from the back of the console, or turn off the power strip that the Xbox cord is plugged into, I have to completely restart the router downstairs, sometimes for minutes at a time, in order to get the console to reconnect the internet. When I just turn the console off normally (either through the controller or by pressing the power button on the console) without unplugging anything, it rarely has this issue. It's driving me crazy because everytime I boot up the console and it says that the internet is unable to connect, I have to go back downstairs and reset the router, which oftentimes interrupts the movies/streaming services/anything on the wifi my family is using. It's really irritating and it's puzzling to me because I kept my Xbox One in the same spot in my room as my Series X for years and it never had this issue. Furthermore, every single device I own that connects to the wifi works perfectly fine all the time; it's just the Series X that has these connectivity problems. Could this be a router issue? I have a fairly strong connection in my room and I can't really move the console any closer to my router. I've researched possible solutions to this for months and I still haven't found anything. If anybody has any advice, I would greatly appreciate it.
