set it to instant on mode then start your downloads and then turn off, it will download in the background.

While I use the series X, I haven’t yet experienced any issues with leaving my xbox on extended times to see if it would shut down due to over heating. Think of it as a PC, as long as it gets air to keep it cool, leaving it on for extended time periods I don’t see why it would over heat. However I wouldn’t recommend it, as it could shut down, never tried. Not saying it will shut down due to over heating, but there’s a chance it could.

Don't worry, you can leave your Xbox Series S console in sleep mode for that period of time without any issue, as long as it has good ventilation. Xbox consoles are designed to be left in sleep mode for extended periods. Personally, I always leave my console in that sleep mode so that when I turn it on, it skips the startup animation and is faster overall. I've been doing this for years, even with my previous Xbox One, and nothing ever happened to it.

You shouldn't have a problem leaving a game running for extended periods of time. I've often left games running because I've forgotten about them and left games downloading over night and I've never had any issues. The only you need to do is to make sure
there is nothing covering the air vents on top of the console. I would recommend making sure not even a tiny part of the air vents are covered as that can cause it overheat after an extended period of time.

Even after leaving the 360 on for an extended period of time the saves remain out of sync, and theres no network traffic to indicate the 360 is trying to sync them?
