    I have the black ops cold war disk and it wont let me play despite being able to play it in the past i have everything downloaded the disk is perfectly fine and works its trying to make me pay for the game although i have the disk working just unable to actually play the game..

    to specify, the game was call of duty black ops cold war.

    I played when the game was free for a week, and now when i try and download it, it downloads the free access version of the game.

    I have been downloading the game all day, (slow internet.)

    So this is really infuriating, and im irritated with what has happened.

    Maybe you have the Xbox One version of COD Cold War and you see that message because the Xbox One version cannot be upgraded to Xbox Series X. You can find more informations about COD Cold War editions here:

    Also I have one other theory. I had black ops Cold War on disc and it felt great. Then I got vanguard downloaded and feels awful. Have you compared games on disc to downloaded games?

    I will suggest that you do a procedure on your console, it will not delete any games you have on your console, however it will require you to enter your accounts again on your console.

    Press the Xbox  button to open the dashboard.

    Select Profile & System > Settings > System > Console Information.

    Select Reset Console.

    On the Restore console? screen, you will see three options:

    Choose the option Restore and keep my games and apps.

    After the procedure see if the problem has been fixed.
