Sorry, but there is no way to transfer the game to a different account. You could

set that console as the Home Console for the account that owns it, and then any account on that Xbox would be able to play it, or have the account that owns it be signed in and then others signed in can play on that console as well. There is no way to
transfer it another account and as it's
a code redeemed that limits the return options.

You do not have to have gold to connect to the internet Gold is for playing multiplayer games and chatting with people online.

If you already have the other xbox set as your home xbox the only other way around this would be.

To have the account that has the gold subscription be signed in at the same time on the console that is not set as the home console.

I will give you an example with how my household is setup.

I have the subscriptions on my account

I have 1 console in my living room and one console in my bedroom

The console in the living room I have set as my home console and any other profile on that console can play my digital games and use my subscriptions.

As far as the console in the bedroom if my wife wants to use the subscriptions or play my games on that console she would have to have my account signed in at the same time as her account is in order to play on that particular console.

Couple things to keep in mind with this is.

1. The account that has the subscriptions on it can only be signed into one Xbox One at a time so say your account has the subscriptions and you want to play on the home xbox your son would not be able to play on his console while you are signed in on any
other console.

2. If you leave your account on his console and do not lock it down so that he would need a password/passcode to sign in/make purchases then you would leave the possibility open that he could go in there and make purchases on your account.

a different account to have the gold subscription on, do you have your son's console as the

No in order for you to play your brothers games on your xbox console you would have to make YOUR xbox HIS profiles HOME xbox as long as YOUR xbox is your brothers profiles home xbox you would be able to play his games and use any subscription that he has
(Gold, Game Pass, EA access).

If you do this and then come back at a later time and it tells you that you need to be signed in with the account that purchased the games that means someone signed into your brothers account on a different console and made that console your brothers home
console.

Keep in mind you can only have ONE console at a time as the home console so if your console is your brothers home console unless he is signed in at the same time on his console no other profile is going to be able to play his games on his console.

Let me explain it a little better with my setup as an example.

I have two consoles and I have all the games and subscriptions on my account.

I have a One S in my living room that I have set as home and my wife and stepson and anyone else that wants to play my games and use my subscriptions can use them on that console.

Console 2 is in my bedroom my wife is the only one in there that plays on that one but if she wants to play any of my games or use my subscriptions on that console she would have to have my profile signed in at the same time.

Also keep in mind you can only switch which console you have set as the HOME console FIVE times a year.

Let me see if I can explain it a little better for you.

No matter what console an account is signed into it will always be able to play its games and use its subscriptions.

Each account can set One console at a time as its home console and any other account that is on that console can then play its digital games and use its subscriptions with out the other account being signed in.

Each account can set One switch which console it has set as its home console 5 times a year.

So lets look at your situation.

You have

Console 1 = C1

Account 1 = A1 Your account

Console 2 = C2

Account 2 = A2 your sons account or any other account

Say A1 is the account that purchased the games and subscriptions.

In order for A2 to play any of those games and use the subscriptions whatever console that they want to play them on would have to be set as A1s home console.

So if A2 wants to play A1s games on C1 then C1 would have to be set as A1s Home console.

Or if A2 wants to play A1s games on C2 then C2 would have to be set as A1s home console.

Now keep in mind that you can only switch which console is set as home 5 times a year. The year starts from the first time you set a console as your home console.

So you would want to set one console that the other players would use the most as A1s Home console.

Now if the other accounts are wanting to play the games or use the subscriptions on another console that is not your accounts home console it is possible. I will give my setup as an example.

I have all the game purchases and subscriptions on my account.

I have a Xbox One S in my living room and a OG Xbox One in my bedroom.

The Xbox One S I have set as my home Xbox and if my wife wants to play some games or use subscription in the bedroom she would need to have my account signed in at the same time as her account is signed in on the OG Xbox since it is not my Home Xbox.

So basically my Wife would go in and sign into my account then switch accounts to her account and she would then be able to play my games and use my subscription under her account on the our non Home Xbox.
