    gold membership redeemed under wrong gamertag. HELP!

    Bought a used xbox 360 and set it up for my son. I think we redeemed our gold live membership under a different gamertag than ours. Now I can't get to Live unless we sign in under another Gamertag who is already set up with his own friends, settings, etc
    How can I undo this???

    1 Gold Account for the whole family

    I don't have a 360 anymore, and don't have an Xbox One, but I would imagine that adding the account to console will automatically open up multiplayer to all users on the console.

    the only thing you can try is to contact Xbox Support, to see if they can do something about it. They are the only ones that might be able to anything about it.

    Unfortunately, you can't transfer Gold memberships like that.

    On the Xbox One the "Home Console" can share the Gold membership to other accounts on that very console, but the Xbox 360 console can't do that.

    You need to either buy a separate Gold membership for your son via Prepaid Gold cards, or subscribe to the Gold membership with his account.

    I have a Xbox One with a Gold Membership. I have two gamerTags. One for me and one for my son. We still use our Xbox 360 as well. Why is it that only my GamerTag can play multi-player games when someone utilizes the Xbox 360. I looked in the settings and
    it is showing my sons as only Silver and mine as Gold.

    Does he not get to do multi-player on the 360 as he is allowed to on the One?

    Make sure your son is signed in on the same gamertag the 12 month membership was redeemed on. If you have and it's still not recognising it's a Gold-enabled gamertag, you can have it
    refresh by either re-downloading the gamertag or testing your Xbox Live connection.
