I have problems with the storage on my xbox game pass in my pc

Hello, I have a problem with the storage of my games on PC. I save my games on the D:/ storage drive (my system is on the C:/ drive). Yesterday I did a formatting of my C:/ drive, when I reinstalled Xbox game pass I could'nt access to my games in the drive
D/. In the options: Change place where new content is saves: The new applications will be save in: I can't change to disk D since I get this message: Do you want to delete other applications? This unit has applications from another device, to use this
unit the other applications must be erased first. when I accept the window I get the following: We colud not set the default storage location. The operation did not complete successfully. Try again in a few moments. If you need it, the error code is: 0x80070003.

Is there any way to get back the games found on the D:/ driver?. If not, what is the path of the folder where the xbox game passs are stored to carry out a manual removal.

Hola, tengo un problema con el almacenamiento de mis juegos en PC. Yo salvo mis juegos en la unidad de almacenamiento D:/ (mi sistema se encuentra en la unidad C:/). Ayer realicé un formateo de mi unidad C:/, al realizar la reinstalación
de Xbox game pass me di cuenta que no podía acceder a mis juegos que se encuentran en la unidad D. En las opciones: cambiar lugar donde se guarda el contenido nuevo; Las nuevas aplicaciones se guardarán en: no puedo cambiar a disco D ya que me sale este
mensaje: ¿Quieres eliminar otras aplicaciones? Esta unidad tiene aplicaciones de otro dispositivo. Para usar esta unidad deben borrarse las otras aplicaciones primero, al aceptar me sale el siguiente mensaje: No pudimos establecer la ubicación de almacenamiento
predeterminada. La operación no se completó correctamente. Prueba otra vez en unos momentos. Si lo necesitas, el código de error es 0x80070003. Existe alguna forma de poder recuperar los juegos que se encuentran en la unidad D:/? de no ser posible cual es
la ruta de la carpeta donde se guardan los juegos de Xbox game pass para realizar una eliminación manual.

I can't delete the folder and would that work without deleting the hard drive?

There are several ways you can fix your issue.

1. Format the drive

The easiest option, but not the best option or indeed the most convenient, especially if your drive has other games from other download services.

2. Use a third party application to delete or rename the 'WindowsApps' folder.

Last time I had this problem I used a third party program to unlock rename the old WindowsApps folder. It was called IObitUnlocker. It's free and safe and it allowed me to unlock and rename the file. Problem is, while I could rename it, I couldn't delete
it. Once it was renamed, Windows can then make a new WindowsApps folder when you change the default location of apps.

3. Delete your old WindowsApps folder with Linux.

This should be guaranteed to work. Linux doesn't care about Windows protected files. To delete it via Linux is quite straight forward. All you need is a USB Flash drive, and your PC laptop bios setting changed to read from a USB Flash drive on boot. Once
you've changed your PC boot order, make a bootable Ubuntu USB stick. Boot your PC temporarily to Linux, find your old WindowsApps
or otherwise renamed WindowsApps folder and delete it.

Remove the USB stick, reboot to Windows and change your default install drive for Windows Apps. This will create a new WindowsApps folder on your D:\ Drive.

la carpeta esta encriptada. la forma mas facil es borrar el disco duro y reinstalar los juegos. estos juegos tienen guardado de partida en la nube, por lo menos en xbox, pues van asociados al perfil. la carpeta se llama windowsapp

No puedo borrar la carpeta y con eso funcionaria sin borrar el disco duro?

due to the way that gamepass games are in effect xvd images and the folder is setup securely then when you reset windows it cannot verify those folders and you need to reinstall. its a pain but the only way really, every other launcher does not do this
only gamepass.

Unfortunately I don't think that there is any way of you being able to backup these games/move them elsewhere, or at least I am not aware of a way of doing so. If you store it on D:\ Drive, then there's a hidden folder called "WindowsApps", which unfortunately
cannot be accessed nor can it be modified due to it being protected.
