Please keep in mind that minecraft Bedrock for Xbox is separate from minecraft Bedrock for PC.

I just uninstalled Minecraft for Windows on my laptop to see if it said I did not own it on that also and after doing so, the game was completely removed from my library, what is this? I feel like I have been scammed.

I may have come up with a solution to this problem.

For context, I am installing Minecraft on my younger sibling's laptop and have encountered the same issues you have, where XBox was not loading for some reason and interfering with Microsoft's login. After several repair, reset, and uninstall attempts on Microsoft, XBox, and Minecraft, I tried using minecraft.net's "Need More Flavor" section and installing Minecraft with Window's Legacy Launcher. And it worked! After using the old installation wizard, Microsoft's login screen finally loaded and they were able to log in and play Minecraft.

This occurred recently on my Windows 8 laptop - I do not use a Windows phone. There have been a couple of recent updates which have caused problems and the fixes have been slowly incremental.

Another user suggested that we could uninstall the app and then go to the store and install it again.

It worked for me on my laptop, but because I played during the period between the update and the fix for the update, a couple of leaderboard values are a bit strange. And all the games I played in the "dark period" between the first update and the subsequent
fix have disappeared and my previous games have re-appeared. However, if my original opponents do not re-instal the game, they may not be able to complete our games.

Im having a similar issue. I purchased Minecraft for windows 10 on my desktop so i could play with my friend who has a switch. Im now in college with a laptop and when i go into the same Microsoft account it is not in my library. however a game like Forza
Horizon 4 is? i went to the Xbox companion app and indeed it shows when i last played Minecraft for windows 10 as this Microsoft account but i can't download it on this laptop.
