    I have paid to change my gamer tag but nothing has happened? Is there a delay?


    I changed my gamertag yesterday and paid the completely fair and not at all ridiculous price of £7.99 for the privileged but nothing has happened... I still have the same tag. Many on here have said it is instant so does that mean something has gone wrong

    New Gamertag Not Reflected

    I originally purchased a second hand Xbox 360, which still had the previous owners gamer tag, and I have now purchased an Xbox one and have paid for a change of gamertag.

    My money has been paid, but the gamertag still remains the same. I followed the instructions on the website, but nothing. Is there something I need to do that isn’t mentioned on the website?

    This is also happening to me. I used the free name change then paid to change it again. I updated my console and then it started showing 2 gamer tags but I was in the insider programme so I left it and re added my account to the

    Hi,

    TrippIE and Smwutches are right about this.

    if you get complaints on your gamer tag the enforcement team will go over it, and that they will or will not change the gamer tag there is nothing more you can do other then change gamer tag.

    Some times they will give you a free change of gamer tag if this has not happened as soon as you login on the console then you have to make the change your self.

    Why is my gamertag "not allowed"

    I don't think changing your gamer tag to your personal name is a good idea.

    However, Microsoft has been buggy since the gamer tag multiple change feature has been available.

    Nothing to worry about :) Try again later or switch the gamer tag characters around.
