I have not received $10 gift code with pre-order game for Call of Duty: Black Ops III for Xbox ...

Order number 8782773478. Status is listed as complete but I never received the gift code. I have checked my email (including junk folders) and have not received it.

Again, the gift code is listed as purchased and "complete" on my order, i just never actually received it.

The $10 gift card is a promotion from microsoftstore.com. You would need to contact their customer service for assistance with the offer.

If you are a rewards member, you will receive 15,000 rewards credits instead of the $10 gift card.

 

I contacted the Microsoft Store customer service and they specifically redirected me here.

Why would it give me rewards credits? It specifically said a gift code. That makes absolutely no sense to me.

Furthermore, I have credits that expire 12/3 and the next deposit date isn't until 12/10 so I don't have enough in my account to use.

And beyond all that, I have no way to use the balance in my account! When I try to buy something in the Microsoft store or xbox.com I have no option to use that balance.

How is this all so incredibly messed up?

 

The rewards program has been running an offer to receive 15,000 credits for games that are preordered from microsfotstore.com. If you use the same email address when you preorder from there, you would receive the 15,000 credits instead of the $10. microsoftstore.com
was never updated to mention that offer on their site.

Your Microsoft account balance can only be used on digital content, so you would not be able to use it through the Microsoft Store. If you're purchasing 360 content, it will only work on the console. If you're purchasing content for the One, you should see
your balance listed as a payment option on the console or the website. If you're still having issues seeing your balance when you make a purchase, you would need to contact support and speak to billing.

The next deposit date for the Rewards program is actually 11/26 (the deposit date on the site changes 3 days before the deposit takes place). If you had enough credits pending before the previous deposit (on the 12th), then you should have a deposit on the
26th.

As far as not having enough for a purchase, there is an option to use a split payment. If you use a credit card, it should ask if you want to use the remaining funds in your account first and then charge the remainder to your account.
