3 Xboxes in 1 house. How to set up Xbox Family to only pay for 1 gold membership

I have my Xbox One X set as the home Xbox. My oldest son has a Xbox One S and has always been in my Live Family. When I got the X, I gave my youngest son my Xbox One Halo 5 Edition. He has a gamertag but it wants me to pay
for his Gold seperately. Can I add a 3rd gamertag to my Family account or do I have to pay for his Gold subscription? Right now, I do not have to pay for my oldest subscription due to being on my family.

Xbox live gold subscription on new console

My son currently has the Xbox one with Xbox live gold subscription, he wants a Xbox one S for Christmas can he use the current subscription or would I need to cancel it and start a new subscription on the new console?

Hi there,

For your son to share your games and gold, you will need to make the console he will be on most of the time, your account's home console.

Then on any other console that is not your account's home console, your account will need to be signed into the console for him to share your games and gold.

But by doing that, nobody except the OP will have access to everything on his actual console. He can't even keep changing his home console because the number of times this is allowed is limited. The only real way around it is to buy two copies of the game.
Sadly, with digital copies, the person doesn't own the material... The account does. That's why I only buy physical copies.

Okay, here's what the OP can do...

1: Add his profile to his Son's Xbox.

2: Open a secondary account on his own (home) console.

3: Have his Son sign into the OP's primary account in the background.

4: The OP signs in using his secondary account.

That way the OP has access because he's on the home Xbox and his Son will have access because the account that purchased the game is signed in on his console. BAM! Problem solved.

My son has purchased £30 worth of shark cards for gta 5. He has not recieved them yet. However when I checked my emails it states on the invoice that it was for xbox one x/s. He only has an xbox one. Am I to belive he has now lost this money as bought the wrong ones?

He uses my xbox x/s at the weekends and it hasn't shown up on that either.

It wouldnt show up on the xbox series x/s unless you specifically have the series x/s version of the game as far as i am aware.
