I have latency problems.

Discus and support I have latency problems. in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; Ive done a full check with my service provider. If I ping back to google.com on my pc it says 14ms.     I have latency problems.


    Ive done a full check with my service provider. If I ping back to google.com on my pc it says 14ms. If I check with bing through the xbox it say 14 ms. but when i play COD i get 150ms and when i do a detailed network statistics it says 150ms plus. Ive port farwarded both xboxs and made the ip's static. Ive changed the DNS to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4

    Ive seen this problem on many posts but, no work arounds.

    Usually the latency depends on how far your ISP servers are from the Microsoft servers. (But a lot of more factors including weather can decrease the latency)

    Try using a custom DNS to see if that improves the latency:
    go to Settings > Network > Advanced Settings

    Once you’re inside the Advanced Settings menu, go to DNS settings and select Manual from the list of available options.
    When you get to the next screen, enter 8.8.8.8 in the box associated with the Primary DNS and 8.8.4.4 in the Secondary DNS box.

    Once the default DNS addresses have been changed, restart your console and see if the issue has been resolved at the next console startup.

    If that doesn't work try using 1.1.1.1 as primary and 1.0.0.1 as secondary

    that may just get this working.

    If the support articles in that sticky do not help, please reply with the
    bold     info at the bottom of the sticky, and we can work from there.
