I have idea about com bans

i understand the meaning of com bans but i dont understand why it suspends you from talking to your friends and stuff. I think it would be better and more understandable if it would only suspend you from communicateing with other random people

It's not a permenant ban but those that have received a retail console early and connected it to the net have had it banned.

Question about com ban

A friend of mine was com banned for a few weeks and yet isn't able to talk, hear, or message even though the ban is over. He tried what was suggested (removing account, rebooting the XBox, re-adding his account), but it didn't work. Is there anything else
that can be done to fix this?

 

Because it's meant to be a form of punishment.

 

That would be a easy system to manipulate then. If you wanted to talk to somebody new, all you would have to do is add them. The system works the way it is. Best thing to do is just don't break the rules in the first place. Use the report and block function
more.

 

i use the report system and block system as often i see reason for it but nobody seems to care

 

and instead of checking only 1 message or report message, you guys should check the whole conversation, if its about messages

 

so your point is just because you are being bullied and try to defend yourself, you are punished because bully reported first? It kinda feels like this :"hey this guy is being bullied but just because the bully reported first, lets suspend the bullied one
for talking to his only friends"?

 

The clue is in the title of the punishment.

It's called a communication suspension,not a partial communication suspension.

If you could still communicate with your friends then it would defeat the purpose of the suspension,especially as people are talking to their friends the majority of the time.

Defending yourself is fine as long as you do it within the rules.

It's always best to just report & block,don't respond.

 

and i think it would be good idea to notify someone about their bad behavior before banning them because there may be chance the target of this ban has accidentally been mean towards someone

i meant more like getting message like: "your past behavior havent been so nice" or something like that but ty for clearifying anyway
