Discus and support I have had it with this Live (dis)Service in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; A while back I lost the family plan that made it practical for the family to play and that messed with my accounts.     A while back I lost the family plan that made it practical for the family to play and that messed with my accounts. Trouble for my granddaughters logging in and finally got that rectified and its been fine for about a month now.

    Now tonight myself nor my two granddaughters can log in. It asks for the password login stuff. I get through all that to the end and I uncheck remember pass like I used to for it to log in properly. But now instead of logging in it just comes up with an
    error dialog and tells me to try again later. And it doesn't seem to matter whether the checkbox is on or off now.

    Seriously Microsoft. WTF? I already canceled my auto-renewal of my gold and theirs because you dropped me off the family plan. I was re-considering an xbox one. You really are trying to get rid of me and send me over to the PS4 aren't you? Just how much
    of this crap do you think customers are gong to take? Really?

    Can you get this garbage service fixed please so we can get back to games and netflix.

    We appreciate your response. To further troubleshoot your concern, you can follow the suggested methods below:

    Method 1. Reset your apps.

    1. Press Windows + R on the keyboard.

    2. Type msconfig, and then click OK.

    3. On the General tab, click the Normal Startup, and then click OK.

    4. When you are prompted to restart the computer, click Restart.



    Method 2. Reset Windows Store cache.

    1. Press Windows key + X on your keyboard. 

    2. Click on Command Prompt (Admin). 

    3. Type wsreset.exe, and then hit Enter. 

    4. Close the Command prompt, and then launch Windows Store. 

    5. Update the Xbox App in the Windows Store.  

    6. If there is no option for you to update it, uninstall and reinstall the app.

    Hey mate, can you please post that error message and code so we can better help you.

    What it sounds like to me is the security might need to be updated on the accounts, you would need to follow this link and click 'Manage your security info' and sign-in with the individual accounts to add security proofs and verify:

    support.xbox.com/.../add-security-proof

    If you're still having issue signing-in and have done the above try deleting the profile from the console (profile only), clear the system cache 3 times, restart the console and re-download the profile.

    Delete and re-download profile:

  5. I am too ticked off right now to turn the xbox back on, or find out where the remote landed. Maybe tomorrow after I cool off I will see what the code was.

    The girls said they were online after school before I got home. Tonight after supper, none of the accounts would log in. I didn't ask for my account to be changed. I didn't want my or their accounts to be changed. I am not putting up with this any longer
    and I am beginning to take steps to eliminate Microsoft and live from my home.

    I checked GameStop, they got some PS4's in stock. Will call the local stores tomorrow and see whats available.

    Until then, there are a couple stores with the Roku3 in stock and I will go get it at lunch tomorrow. That way I don't have to deal with this poor service and it will allow the kids to watch netflix anytime they want.

    Oh, btw, I have been sitting since 22:00 with a microsoft chat window open waiting on a response with a "1 minute" wait time. Its now 22:48. I am giving up and going to bed.

  6. Figures. This morning it let me log in but came up with the annoying verify email garbage. Signed in using one of the girl's accounts too and it worked.

    Still getting a Roku today so I don't have to deal with this any more. But for now, the xbox won't be visiting the rifle range to see how it fares against a 300 blackout or 7.62 russian. Maybe the summer if they don't screw with the service again. For
    now, its living day to day.

  7. Well, I picked up a Roku 3 on Friday. After spending the most pleasurable weekend in a long time, I wish I had gotten frustrated with MS Live a long time ago.

    The Roku 3 is EVERYTHING I wish the xbox did as far as entertainment and user friendlyness goes.

    • Its instant on. No boot up time, No delay. Its on. Period.
    • Its quiet. No fan, no hard drive, no noise at all. Stealth, Fully.
    • I don't have to pay $50 a year to have Microsoft shove advertisements all over my dashboard.
    • Netflix, TWC, Youtube, Hulu, Weather. Its all FREE. The way it should be.
    • I can re-arrange the apps the way I want. (No rearranging anything on xbox, not even pins)
    • I can remove the apps I don't want. (no control at all on xbox's dashboard)
    • I can add the apps I do want. (no control at all on xbox's dashboard)
    • I won't ever have Microsoft burying my Netflix deeper and deeper in the UI in an effort to sell me their video service.
    • There is NO moronic 4 digit code I have to key in to run Netflix like on the xbox.
    • There is no need to log in.
    • The quality, at least inside netflix and the TWC apps is better than the xbox.
    • Better use of network! The entire weekend, not once, ever did it stop and buffer video like the xbox does all the time (they are plugged into the same network, same switch, I even swapped ports and wires to see if it changed, nope).
    • You can listen privately to headphones (shuts off sound to speakers)! Great for the kids in the mornings I have had it with this Live (dis)Service :) I actually slept in!
    • Its portable.
    • I don't have to see a constant stream of "xxx has logged in" in my movies.
    • Phones and tablets function as very useful remotes!
    • Phones and tablets can send images and video right to the Roku! Can't wait for the next birthday party I have had it with this Live (dis)Service :) I can use my EyeFi to scrape jpegs right off my DSLR and onto my tablet wirelessly and then right to the Roku in real time I have had it with this Live (dis)Service :)

    And the cool thing is, the roku is portable and can be taken with me on trips. I can easily plug it into the video system in the truck, use FoxFi app on my cell to give it internet and we got all the same entertainment (netflix, twc, history, PBS) at freeway
    speeds I have had it with this Live (dis)Service :)

    It does everything I want, nothing I don't and there is no yearly fee. Good grief what a breath of fresh air! If xbox live was like the Roku, can you imagine how happy Microsoft customers would be?

    This one time payment of $99 removed another "need" for xbox live. And the xbox all together.
