I have gold membership but I can't play multiplayer online

I had my free membership of Xbox live gold 2 days ago and now when I want to start a party or play multiplayer online it says that I don't have gold membership but the expiration date says my membership will end by 10\20\2016 and I can download my gold
free games but when I want to start a party or play multiplayer online it says that I don't have gold membership and my internet connection is good so what should I do know

Cant play on online games..

You can't play multiplayer with a free membership. You need to buy an Xbox live gold membership to play online.

You are both reflecting Xbox Live Silver status here on the forums. Xbox Live trials do not always grant the same permissions as full Xbox Live Gold status. However if you are sure you should have Xbox Live Gold, you will want to reach out to

I have the same problem and I'm sure I have xbox live gold, I've been playing multi-player games for a week but today when I tried to do so, it kept telling me I don't have xbox live. Can someone help me, please?

Hi "Zheko Stoykov" my name is Jaykob and I am apart of the abassador program.

If it does still not work please take your current disc out of your xbox, go to settings, Disc & Blu-ray, Blu-ray, Persistent stroage(clear it 3 times)

Then go to network settings, advanced, alternate MAC address, clear. Your console will reset. Also make sure your NAT type is on open

If you mean the games with gold then I must tell you that they are only playable with a paid Gold membership ! If you have a game with online multiplayer you can't play ranking matches with a trial membership.

cyrilsneer1980 you don't seem to be on a gold membership. But a gold membership is mandatory to play online multiplayer games. And already playing with a friend online is a multiplayer match. So please get a gold membership.

probably by buying a gold membership and play multiplayer. i suppose you could work on commendations...but if you aren't gold and can't play online, why worry about rank at all?

Is this the account you are trying to play on?

Online Xbox multiplayer requires a Gold membership subscription to play. If your account is a free Silver account, you can't play online with it.
