I have Gamepass and its showing the Year 3 to be played but when in the game it does not...

I think Gamepass is worth the money. I personally use it as a way to play games that I might not have played before. Or to play some older games that I missed when they came out. The games in the catalog are the full versions of the game and
you have access to them as long as you have a subscription and they are in gamepass. One major benefit of Gamepass for me is all Microsoft First party games will be coming to gamepass on day 1. That includes games like Halo, Fable, Gears of War, Crackdown,
and Forza. If you are going to buy only 2 of those games when they come out then a Year of Gamepass has paid for itself.

I've used gamepass to play the NBA 2k games when they show up, there have even been some indie games that have released day 1. I've been very pleased with the service and use it more than I thought it would.

Well no I dont think you fully understand how gamepass works

There sre 3 tiers gamepass

XGU AND gamepass for pc

Since he is getting the xbox gamepass you would onlh ne able to gameshare on the console

Pc wise youd have to be on his profile but he cannot be using his xbox profike while you do this

And he downloads playanywhere titles and you play off those games

Which is a limited selection off of your profile

Pc gamepass is different and cheaprr as it does not need gold but its has pc titles that arent cross platform and it does have play anywhere titles

However the only issue with this is that the game I'm trying to launch through cloud doesn't have the cloud icon in my library but it does when I look at it through the gamepass store. In my library instead of showing the gamepass and cloud icon it just shows the name of the game and "owned"

When I click open on the microsoft store it runs cause I have it installed. But this I believe is because of my subscription to gamepass.
If I look in my library in the xbox app and filter it to games I own. Gears 5 does not show up. Indicating that without the gamepass subscription. I would not be able to play it.
