I have a few games on the external storage and now I am trying to move games from my internal to my external but the game would not move.. says installation stopped. What else I can do? Should I buy a new external storage ?

I forgot to mention you won't need the extra storage for quite sometime unless you plan on buying 20+ games right away. And in that time you don't need one keep an eye out for a sale external hard drives are always having crazy sales and that's the time
to grab one

Sorry to hear that you're dealing with this issue with your external harddrive staying on all the time. I split your post into a new thread as the one that it was on was really old. This way, your situation gets more attention that is specifically tailored
to this issue's need.

So far although I do agree that that could lead to wear on your HD, I'm sure that Xbox as a whole has considered this problem and might update it in the future so that the externals go into idle when the console is not use, but it's impossible to tell when
that would be. In the mean time, for any information on how the external harddrive should be set up with the console, you can always refer to our page entitled
