I have decided not to upgrade to 4K

I pretty much never watch TV too. Just play video games, YouTube and Netflix. TV channels in NZ are real boring. During the summer time when I go to Australia, much more interesting.

As for this 4k stuff, until EVERYTHING is up to speed with 4k, including providers etc, I see no rush in getting, and until there are several games for Xbox Scorpio which run in 4k native. Upscaling technology doesn't do a very good job, because whip out
a magnifying glass and put your head right up to the display screen, and you're notice noise and pixeliziation produced from upscaling. Also games run in lower frame rates per second in 4k than they do on 1080p. I mean even today, the majority of videos being
uploaded to youtube are in 1080p or 720p, not 4k.

Newer TiVo's have a great feature where you can press one button to skip the commercials for any of the top 100 shows that you record. The rest you can just fast forward through of course. I usually wait until about 30 minutes or more after a Braves game
starts before I start watching so I have enough time built up to fast forward through the commercials then too.

 

^^ True fan to be able to watch Braves games this year. I'm a Phillies fan so I'm in the same boat.

 

I have 2 4k TVs I'm going to get a scorpio for sure, haven't decided if I'll get anything for the other 4k TV. maybe I'll get an S or a neo for it. not sure. I notice a big difference, even with upscaled content. Many people who I've had over to watch football
have commented on how good it looks as well. I guess it depends on the quality and size of the TV and how far away you sit and the person, but for me the 4k upgrade was worth it and I can't wait to have more native 4k content

The Braves started showing some signs of life once they fired Gonzalez, and especially since the All-Star break. They've still got some work to do, but I think they're just a couple of pieces away from being contenders again. I think they could have been
close to . 500 this year if just a few things went their way, but sadly nothing really did and guys who were great last year or at least serviceable suddenly forgot how to hit or even catch a ball.

 

4k UHD TVs are dropping in price so fast that by the time Scorpio see's the light of day I will absolutely be doing an upgrade. For now I am sticking with my original Xbox One so no reason to go there yet.

That is a very good point too, upgrading to 4K now isn't really worth it given the scarcity of 4K content to maximize to enjoyment of a 4K TV.
