I haVE bought a disk .when installed, i cannot proceed without buying game pass....

Is it asking you for juat Game Pass or Gold? Fallout 76 is an online only game which requires Gold or Game Pass Ultimate (which includes Gold).

They are except for horizon 3 because it's a xbox one game

Halo.can be played if you bought it on disk

You CANNOT buy or download halo.games because they are delisted

It has to be installed from ready to install

What do you mean you recently bought halo games they have been delisted since march

If you bought it on disk you just install and it download the patches packs online.

First and foremost disk copies cannot be installed on a xbox series s

Second you have to uninstall your install from the disk from the external drive first then buy the digital copy

Digital copies are completely different from disk copies

Installing it on a external.drive will show as owned but not the digital copy since you installed using the disk however your serirs s cannot validate without q drive

Why would ms care about the used market?

When a game media or movie media is resold the first owner loses access to the disk and content and installed games cannot be played without the disk

They aren't losing money

It's only when you want access to dlc that was included which the 2nd owner would have to buy to have access to

That's what online access codes are for because they are one time use

Only ea has those codes

Anytime you buy a ms game used you can buy the dlc seperately unlike medal of honor series

To re-evaluate what I meant is, I bought the destiny game title (when it first released). Bought the DLC on the Xbox console without issues.

But now cannot buy the standalone dlc for RoI and have to buy the collection on the store for $60. No thanks.
