I have been having issues with my xbox dropping me from games or shutting down all together.

We understand how frustrating it can be to have your gaming experience interrupted by unexpected shutdowns or disconnections. This issue persists could be due to a lot of factors, it could be an issue with your internet connection, games updates, or with the device itself. Good thing that you were able to share this with us, we will work on this together in a timely manner.

Before we proceed, I will be asking you few questions that would help us to further understand the concern:

1. Are you playing online or offline when this happens?

2. Have you noticed any error messages or codes when the Xbox shuts down?

3. How long have you been experiencing this issue?

4. Have you tried any troubleshooting steps, such as resetting the console or checking for updates?

5. Was this working before?

In the meantime, let's first check if there are any updates available for your Xbox Series X. To do this, please follow these steps:

• Press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide.
  
• Select Profile & system.
  
• Select Settings.
  
• Select System.
  
• Select Updates & downloads.
  
• Select Console update available if there is an update available.
  

If there is an update available, please download and install it. This may help resolve any issues that you're experiencing.



If there are no updates available, let's try power cycling your Xbox Series X. To do this, please follow these steps:

• Press and hold the Xbox button on the front of the console for 10 seconds.
  
• Wait for the console to power down completely.
  
• Unplug the power cable from the back of the console.
  
• Wait for 10 seconds.
  
• Plug the power cable back into the console.
  
• Press the Xbox button on the console to turn it on.
  

Once your Xbox Series X has restarted, try playing your game again and see if the issue persists.



If the issue continues, it may be worth checking your internet connection. A poor internet connection can cause disconnections and other issues while gaming. You can check your internet connection speed by following these steps:

• Press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide.
  
• Select Profile & system.
  
• Select Settings.
  
• Select General.
  
• Select Network settings.
  
• Select Test network speed & statistics.
  

Also, try checking your NAT Type.

• Open the Start menu and search for Xbox console companion.
  
• Select the best match, when prompted to sign-in to the app, use your Microsoft account.
  
• In the Xbox app window, press the settings icon in the bottom right (shaped like gear).
  
• In Settings, press the Network tab.
  
• Wait a few moments for Windows to scan your network - your network information will appear (including your NAT type).

Note: You may contact your network provider in order for the following ports to be open on your router, this would be a great help in order for you to be connected with Xbox network.

• Port 500 (UDP)
  
• Port 3544 (UDP)

I have been experiencing the same issues with the game freezing, dash bording me, and fully shutting down my xbox. I have the original Xbox one so it seems to be spanning all the Xbox consoles.

Recently my Xbox randomly loses connection to IPv6 and disconnects me from Xbox live all together. When I go to network settings the console is still connected to IPv4, so I know it's not an issue with the wifi. I have also tried restarting my internet
multiple times, but nothing has fixed the issue.

and for some reason when I'm in a game to console kicks me off and shuts off my whole router of my internet

Im having sort of the smae problem with my Xbox One S. I was playing a game on my xbox and suddenly it shuts down for no reason and lost all my progress. It did a complete shut down. And it has already been to to microsoft for an internet problem and all
they did was factory reset it like they were talking about the Xbox One X
