I have been DDOSed

Discus and support I have been DDOSed in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; I have been ddosed and I ammedietly contacted support and they refered me to here.     I have been DDOSed


    I have been ddosed and I ammedietly contacted support and they refered me to here. I am not educated on this subject at all, but I would just like it to end. The two kids gamertags were untangledbat1 and his friends gamertag had ‘blue’ in it, I cant recall
    the whole thing considering the fact that as soon as they joined my xbox and my wifi crashed. Please help. I tried looking up their names on the xbox appbut it said that the name did not exist. Frankly, i am scared because after looking on here the results
    do not seem promising of people being ddosed and the support staff that i talked to was not very helpful either. The refernce number from our conversation is 1434502000.

    I have been getting DDosed!

    Did steps 2.1-2.5 result in a new IP address? If not, when you call your ISP you can request they change your IP address.

    If you haven't done so already, you would need to file a complaint on him via the console in order for the enforcement team to investigate him. Calling out other gamers is not allowed on the forums. Since ddos attacks are done through your internet and not
    Live, you would also want to alert your ISP.

    Hi there,

    I'm unsure why support would redirect you here, since they should be able to advise you the correct steps to take, which can be found here: FAQs About DoS and DDoS Attacks on Xbox One

    That link will have all the details on a DDoS attack and what to do. In short if you are still experiencing the issues due to the attack then you will have to restart your modem/router and if that doesn't help contact your ISP so they can sort it for you.

    Also be sure to report the people that done this via the tools provided on the console, see this link for the steps on how to report: Xbox Enforcement | How Do I

    This way Xbox Live Enforcement Team will be able to look into it and take actions where needed. This may take time though.

    I hope everything will be sorted soon.

    Side note: please do not share any information like a reference number, since it can be seen as personal information.

    Also keep in mind that naming and shaming isn't allowed in the forums
     
  5. If you have had a DDoS attack, you should contact your ISP as it is their network that is being attacked. The person/people doing so are not using Xbox Live to attack you, so their is not a lot Microsoft can do.

    You can try unplugging your modem for 5 minutes to see if when you plug it back up and it connects if your ISP will server up a different IP address. That will sometimes resolve the issue.

    If you have had a DDoS attack, you should contact your ISP as it is their network that is being attacked. The person/people doing so are not using Xbox Live to attack you, so their is not a lot Microsoft can do.
