    I have an Xbox One external hard drive which keeps stopping and not working


    hi here this is not the first external hard drive that has stop working. xbox will Xbox will detect the hard drives then when transferring files it will stop. If i turn off the xbox and pull out the usb for the hard drive for about 5 minutes . and then
    turn on the xbox and then plug the usb in the xbox it will detect the hard drive . and start to run agian .After two minutes or 8 or 39 minutes will stop again

    okay instant on mode is already off because that's your way to get it to work with external hard drive it's an energy mode right now. And I have to keep the x box on in order for it to download to that hard drive. So you're saying leave the instant on mode
    off and keep it on energy mode, and try to download to the internal hard drive? if it works with the external hard drive then it should work with the internal hard drive doing it that way shouldn't it? Because it does work with the external hard drive with
    it on energy mode

    my 3.0 usb ports aren't working kinda

    yeah a controller is working for my xbox one but my external hard drive which is a 3tb seagate is not working so my usb ports work fine its just for some reason the external hard drive isn't so any other suggestions or should i just get a new hard drive

    There are no error codes when it says installation stopped. The hard drive meets the criteria to be used as an external hard drice. I have not usd the hard drive on any other consoles as I only have 1 xbox one.
